CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have sun here but this is the first day in the last 4. I like the gloom though. 
I'm on the phone with a good friend who is driving me nuts. She's so very opinionated and never lets you talk to defend your point. GRRR!

Its been gloomy since tuesday. My parents are republican and hubby is democrat, if they start talking politics, its war, either have a hard time getting a word in edgewise, I stay out of it, they try to drag me in but I'm like I'm not getting in this one.

Good morning everyone! The sun is actually shining here today.
Not many plans here today. Just trying to get rested up from the week. That 36 hour trip up to my son's was a killer. Might have something to do with the packing and cleaning I helped him do for moving. I had aches in places I never knew could ache.
Now to look forward to getting things around here ready for Thanksgiving. All 3 kids should be home as well as daughter's boyfriend.

Oops, I meant that I was gone for 36 hours. He only lives 3 hours away. Went to help him finishing packing his stuff for the moving truck, got it loaded, then had to clean his apartment so he could get checked out of the apartment and then drive home.

Oh Ang, I am sorry that your knees are now matching the rest of your body. That really stinks and makes it much harder to get around.
If there is any comfort in misery loves company, I just can't shake a respiratory thing. Got up today with sore throat, ears ached and continuing to cough. I have decided that tomorrow is Doctor day. Got to shake this thing sometime.

Well, this is the second week I've gone to the WELS church. It was really nice to be in a service that had a real live choir. Especially one as well done as the choir at Calvary in Redding. We'll have to go south to Anderson next week as the two congregations will be having a combined service down there. I'll have to call the secretary about the times and everything.
