theologically conservative forum

i know there is already a Conservative Christian forum but considering how that one is interchangeable with conservative politics i would like to request a forum, or perhaps a subforum within the CC community for those of us who are conservative in our theology yet do not fit in with the conservative political group.

As it stands now those of us who would otherwise benefit from fellowship with other theologically conservative Christians are feeling quite ostracized for the mere fact that we do not adhere to political conservatism. It would be nice for us to have a place to fellowship without having to contend with politics or fear of being made to feel unwelcome because of our political views.

I think that a congregational forum should center around about theology, rather than politics. Maybe it would make more sense to place conservative political discussion as a subforum of a conservative congregation, or in a conservative political forum.

I SO agree with any kind of idea to help address this. Currently politics and theology is so intertwined that I just don't feel I have a place as a conservative Christian anymore.

I'm for a sub forum at best.(Otherwise there is the moderate board) I too fit in this group, but I like the CC residents and would continue posting in CC.

I was raised in a household of "political eclectics" where Christ always came first. Guess it stuck

I will agree to it Sure I fall into this category...Actually be a conservative theologically means having "no color" politically as for Christ did not belong to any political direction... either. Like Thekla said it... Christ should be our ONLY leader as humans come and go and there is no security in any of us.... The kingdom of God is not in this world...

I don't fit the category, but I think it's an ok idea -- as long as it doesn't lead to both groups totally "preaching to the choir," and never interacting and discussing different POV.

Probably a better alternative is to frequent BB~there are so few people around anymore to constantly divide and divide will eventually let everyone have their own room..sorta like monk cells

i looked into the Bridge Builders forum and it looks like its a forum directed at people who don't fit into solid categories theologically so i'm not sure that's really what i'm asking for. thanks for the suggestion though

I guess this more or less applies to me. On *most* things, I'm theologically conservative (but there are exceptions, like my view on queerness)... and likewise... On *most* political things, I'm liberal (the main exception being abortion).
