  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A very specific question for evolutionists.

If a gray wolf gave rise to a Cocker Spaniel, what gave rise to Eve?
The question may be very specific, it also doesn't make much sense.

I have another very specific question. How much does the color red weigh. Please express your response in liters.

I can only assume you're asking that if the domesticated dog descended from wolves, what did the first human descend from? There are a few proposed species, but the generally accepted one is called australopithecus.

cocker spaniels descended from dogs who descended from other dogs. Only after a few tens of millenia worth of generations do you get to grey wolves. our species is i think 100,000 years so it's hundreds of thousands of generations before we can be traced to a non-homo sapien ancestral population.

If these are the answers you guys want me to accept --- then I shall stick to my original assumption that evolution dictates that the very first woman ever born [from whatever she came from] would have to engage either in beastiality or incest or both --- (this is a gross subject).

Come off it AV, after reading some of the posts on this forum you must know that is not the way evolution works.
You may not like or agree with the theory of evolution, but at the very least try to understand the theory.
Seems to me that you are not looking for a discussion but an argument

Well given that According to a Literal Interpretation of Genesis Incest was the design for human population..

are you suggesting that a whole bunch of apes gave birth to a human? Thier likely was not ever a clear cut human, and a clear cut ape (i know humans are apes, i just dont know the right word)

The transition is more like a grey scale. each step of grey looks nearly identical to the last with almost no change, but given thousands of steps, we can easily compare the two greys from now to a thousand steps ago.

I don't see why you need to construct a straw man like this AV. I think you know well what "evolutionists" theories would say on this matter.

According to evolution it is impossible to single out one "first woman" like that because the lineage from one species to the next is so gradual.

Come to think about it there would have had to be a massive amount of incest in your version of the story - if you assume that it all started from just two people...which as you say, is a gross subject.

Technically, Australopithecus is a genus, not a species, though it was ancesteral to H. sapiens. Our closest ancestor would likely be H. erectus, or H. ergaster.

Does that answer your question, AVET?

Thank you, Split Rock --- at least I have something to work with now.

Let's assume Homo ergaster.

So now my question is --- according to evolutionary logic, if Homo ergaster gave birth to a Homo sapien girl, wouldn't this girl eventually have mated with a Homo ergaster? Or is it that all of a sudden, Homo ergasters started giving birth to Homo sapiens, who then mated with each other?
