Q&A with Me about the Pets

Okay Gang... Here is the deal.

I will try to check in here and answer questions as they come in but at the moment I am very busy on the board as I am on the only advisors for a few days while others are away or sick.

So if you all can do me a favor if members have questions bring them in here if you cant answer them and I will try to respond. I need your help to get communication out about the pets.

So with that being said.

Would you like the ressurection option turned on for the pets?

I disabled it thinking that we are a Christian site that some might be offended if their pets get ressurected but it seems we have a few that want that option.

personally i think the price of the food is a bit high will they be lowering it?
can we purchase already made pets?
when will people be able to see there pets on their pages?
and i think that people that want their pets resurecected should, only because they thought they could but then make an announcement that that will be turned off and no longer a feature, just my opinion

Hope you are sitting in a comfy chair.....would you like an iced beverage....some chips...some hug filled reppies...

A member was upset that her pet was injured in battle/training. She bought medicine, but the pet's health level did not go back up completely. I offered to look in on the pet, bought medicine, but was not able to use it on a pet not belonging to me. Can this be adjusted.

I wasn't a fan of the death of the pets and resurrecting the pets, but wondered if it could be tweeked to the pet running away and then paying a reward for finding the pet. Some members are upset that his/her pet is dead and it can't be resurrected.

Can we add letters (to change the name of the pet....especially good for those choosing a girl's name and getting a boy egg or visa versa).

Can we add change of color.....so that if we don't like the color, we can change it.

Can we buy pet food in bulk (especially needed for the pet workers)

Can we remove the pie (the one that makes the pet hungrier....don't want someone mistakedly feeding the pet pie and it dying due to hugner)

The ice cream food item....says for all, but only feeds one pet....it would be nice to have one food that feeds all the members pets at one time.....worth the extra blessings in my mind.

Can the price of food be lowered.....or maybe offer a bulk purchase price at a discount.

Do you know when the pets will be showing on the posts...

Any thoughts of when the programming will start to bring the old pets back......and will the new food items work on the old pets..

Gregged was able to get me a picture of my Little Jack, that I have on my posts. To make a member happy about the delay, could we offer a picture of his/her former pet, that they could use in their signature...is there anyone who could create these pictures. Gregged just happened to have a screen shot of my pet because of a Christmas Pet picture he made that I made a copy of.

Instead of battle.....could the pets be taught tricks......sit up, roll over, beg, fetch etc...

When my pets were created....one of my pets didn't have a mom.....I know it is a cyber pet....but what about a child member who's parent lets him/her get a pet. I think it should always show a mom and a dad.

Any chance, we could add a frog as a pet. There are some members that were really attached to their frogs.

Could we add a grooming where a pet can get a bath, get brushed down.

Could we add pet accessories: a ball, blanket, chew toy, ribbons etc.

And lastly.....what about a plant....some people aren't pet people, but love flowers...

No, please let us all remember we have children here and we are a Christian Community and let us have pets as near normal as possible. I don't think we need to ressurect pets. The people always want more devious ways. Let us have a pet community kid friendly.

Do the owners get notification of pet workers feeding their pets as they did on the old system?

Pet workers need to be able to buy all items whether we have a pet that needs that item or not. That is why we are here.

pgp protecter is a site supporter and pet owner. I believe that he is a web designer, computer programmer for the military. He is familiar with our new pet programming.

Have you thought of asking for his assistance in getting the pet programming completed. He has been very helpful on the pet threads answering questions and explaining how the pet program works. He has his own web site and he is a very nice person.

We can if its a necessity. Here is my thoughts on this. People are getting more blessings than ever also they dont have anything to spend them on at the moment. So thats what I was looking at. When the armory gets fully restored and we get quizes I can lower prices again

That is something the coder is working on.

Thank You. I dont hire the folks they come from Lee but I can do adjustments not the coding. Sooo We are waiting on the coder. Be of good cheer Lee knows that things are taking too long to get things done so he is talking to the guys about getting things done quickly.

On another site there is a spot in the pet area titled "letters" it is where a pet owner can change the name of the pet, so that if a person buys an egg and names it a girl name, but gets a boy, the member can go to letters and purchase a new name for the pet.

This might be popluar with those buying a pet from a previous owner.

Inventory - We can purchase 40 items but ONE at the TIME. Click the item, click ok and go back over and over 40 times. We should be able to purchase as many as 40 with the one clik. We could buy as many as 10 items on the old pet store and 20 with fast clicking and owners could buy one item or more if they needed to.

I sure hope the old pets returned with the same price of food and comsumption quantity the same %.

Do you realize people with many different problems come on here just to feed their pets. They may not play any games or enter any contest to win extra blessings. Just because a person has nothing else to spend blessings on at this time is no reason to charge them such high prices. Some people just love to collect blessings and collect interest and give blessings to other causes and members who don't have an excess of blessings. They could crank up those money making machines in washington and let that sucker run 24/7 and pass out them dollars as fast as they could make them but that would take all our reason to become independent and want to work and provide for our own needs. Just my opinion but this pet system will fail simply because of the *unknown of the created creature. *The creatures themselves, * the cost of trying to feed them.

I perfer the pet lost opposed to dead and resurrected. that way we can weed out the ones that neglect their pets on a continous basis and spend our time trying to save the ones that try to take care of their pets.

Just to comment really quickly for I get busy on something else.

I will try to find out if we can purchase more than one item at a time.

Old pets will return percentages will be the same but I am not sure on the prices.

Lets stay positive about this. God is always in control of everything I know we are going in the right way because of the opposition that we are facing on this Christian board. So please lets stay positive and keep God on our mids. So take out some time to pray if you havent.

I have been sharing this with others if you feel that the Lord is leading you somewhere else please follow Him. Please dont be unhappy in your ministry hear. We want what the Lord wants. So lets just try to find Him and follow Him.

I will work to rename the cemetary and the resurrection wordings.

Thank you Matt, you are a brave soul to take on the ladies of the pet forum. We know you will do the right thing. We are proud to have our froum back up and running. We do have many good things to look forward to in the futrue. You have given us good answers and we appreciate your time and interest you spend with us.

Please continue to check back as often as you can, when we closed down in May we had about 50 workers so you can see we have lost many workers but I know as the pets continue to grow so will the pet workers either return or God will send us new ones.

Do you think the pet programing could be tweaked to automatically send a pm to the pet owner when the hunger level reaches 90-100%. I think members maybe forgetting to look after their pets due to "out of sight....out of mind."
