Both direct and indirect evidence for God’s existence are well known and well documented. Nothing in history is better known or better documented than the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We even use the year of His birth as the basis for our calendar. He perfectly matched the over 100 unique messianic prophecies in the Old Testament regarding His birth, life, death, and resurrection. The laws of probability cannot give us a reasonable explanation for either the Messianic predictions or the resurrection, let alone both by the same person.

And that's just a little piece.

Lee Strobel wrote a few books, but "The Case for Christ" made an impact on me.

What is your proof that God or Jesus exists?

My proof is my interpretation of various experiences in my life that I cannot chalk up to random chance working in my favor. On the other hand, I can't prove these experiences were not random chance but I don't think so.

All religions are a matter of faith. As such "proof" as in science or mathematics is irrelevant.

Sincerely,

OldChurchGuy

Forget it, I'm still going to hell.
You're agnostic, so shouldn't you be saying that you don't know if there is a hell or not, and you also don't know whether you're going or not?

Religion doesn't work like that, life does.
Um, no it doesn't - except in the imagination of a few extreme positivists.

Science works like that, to an extent but very little else, and even science cannot sustain it perfectly, as most scientists who have done a bit of philosophy/epistimology/meta-cognition about their discipline will attest.

Hey, NotTooImportant!
When I was a teenager, I was partying, and doing what most teenagers do. And I could care less if there was a God or not. Nobody told me anything about this supposed God, really didnt care if there was one or not. I was using a needle by the time I was 17. Then all of a sudden my life fell apart. I ended up on the streets, homeless and didn't have anyone to turn to, so I cried out to this supposed God. A day later, I run into this man that I never seen before, and he told me how he used to be on the needle. But now he was a christian. For the first time in my life, some one bothered to tell me How Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I immediately asked Jesus to be Lord of my life. After that, this man drove me himself hundreds of miles to a christian "rehab". I saw something in that man, it was new to me. I was used to people using me, my parents both physicly and mentally abused my. All I knew was hatred. But this man had something different. And I wanted it.
Well it's been 25 years later, and I still have it. Here is how I know God is real, because I asked HIM, not some person, not by posting a question on a forum, I went straight to GOD and asked Him! But I was seriously looking for Him. It's not some hokus pokus, ... thing. He's real. He has answered way too many prayers for Him to not be real. When a person REALLY, TRUTHFULLY seeks God, He shows up in an awesome way. Thats my proof. My experience.

What is your proof that God or Jesus exists?

The Christian's physical proof that Jesus exists is the Shroud of Turin. The image of the man (according to the scientists that have studied it) is from an unknown form of radiation. There is much more info found in the shroud that is so interesting!

Best info you got on this thread. Seek Him out. You will find Him if you seek Him with all of your heart (jeremiah 29:13)

Trying to prove God exists is not how you are gonna find Him. Youll find Him with your heart. And it might not even happen right away. perhaps certain events need to be put in place.. Have faith. God will manifest Himself.

There just isn't any. It's all based on faith or speculation. Shouldn't that tell you something?

There is no proof you exist either, to say that you exist as a completly different individual form the rest of the posters it would be faith and speculation...

Now what if I would to say experiance you, have had contact and a connection with you personally?

Than Id believe you were really there.

Same thing with God for us, we are open to Him in ways you could never understand and experiance as a non believer, God doesnt manafest Himself to you..He does to us. Of coarse that doesnt satisfy unbelievers because again they cannot comprehend what it means to experiance God.

Not to say He isnt willing to make Himself known to you, but He does it His way not yours. and people cannot accept that. they choose scientific ways which might I add arent even completly perfect..no matter how much one denies it. :)

You can't say 'there isnt any', thats just simply as a fact not true. There are reason to believe in and not to believe in God, not nothing at all.

There are many reasons to believe in God like through science to show that the universe had a begining (Big Bang) and anything that has a begining has a cause. Also the whole universe seems designed to sustain life. I would go into it but it would be a long post if I did, but the odds of life occuring are very low by chance (without God). Also there is very good historical evidence for Jesus being raised from the dead.

To be honest though science only gives you good reason to believe in God; in the end you have to be open to a personal relationship with God. I have seen just this summer more than 100 people healed by God at a christian camp I went to. One of the people healed was a girl I know.

A few months ago four of us were praying for each other, though I didn't really feel like praying at the time, so I didn't say much till it came to the person before me to pray for. Decided to pray and as I put my hand on his shoulder and started praying I felt this huge heat through my whole body. The heat wasn't from the room but felt like one my skin and inside, its hard to explain the feeling but it was good. It turns out afterwards that all four of us felt the same thing at the exact same time, it was amazing. It was God. If it happens to one person you can be skeptical, two people a coincidence, 3 or more that is no coincidence.

Prayer works
