You know Cindy.. with the teaching I have received from Word of Faith.. the unbelief is where I see this happening.. The forgetting of the benefit of healings and setting people free from demons.... the shunning of the poor and needy.. and the not loving one another from the heart.. Not praying enough.. or praying in some cases at all..

Those who think that they are worshipping God in a fact are not.. because they are unbelievers.. and unbelievers are going to Hell.. it is a scary thought.. they refuse to listen because they are following man made traditions as they always have done.. they neither know the Word or will listen to it...

It is more dangerous then even rebellion I think because at least the person who is rebelling knows it.. It is simply a closing of the mind to the Holy Spirit.. anything that is strange is feared.. even though who are showing signs and wonders like Jesus who healed yet they are angry that this is happening.... great things from the LORD.. great fervor.. know the scriptures well.. You know the kind of things we should be doing.. God says to do.. and yet they just shut them down.. expell them.. say they are stirrers etc..

Is not repenting.. simply saying we don't know.. and turning to God who does!!
Realising we have failed and listening to God and obeying Him.. Filling our mind with the new and tossing out the old!!

Ohhh.. and not to know what Christ has done for us.. through the cross.. that He is no longer dead but ALIVE and that we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.. that He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more then we could ever hope or imagine.. Halleujah.. to deny the power of Jesus and to grieve the Holy Spirit.. and not live filled and flooded with the Holy Spirit..

The joy of our salvation.. the worship of God in Spirit as He truly is.. so much.. so much they miss.. Surely that must grieve the LORD who is Jehovah.. He has so much to give HIS people.. lavish gifts and a robe of righteousness.. but they trample it and will not acknowledge Him..

To know Him.. to know His great love.. that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!!

Wow. Powerful Cindy! I just finished a great book by John Bevere on this...Drawing Near. All about true intimacy with the Lord.

This post touched my heart. I think the church has been sleeping, but is slowly waking up. The gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit is becoming a piercing alarm, and is even being felt in places where He has been typically unwelcome. I see a tremendous awakening over the next few years. Greater signs and wonders, greater repentance, greater recognition of the one true God. When I was saved I was told that what happened to me would be happening to millions around the world. Millions. Millions of souls in darkness seeing...no, experiencing the light. Praise God!

I see a wave of repentance and reconciliation coming to this world. Its already happening in parts, but I see it touching the whole. The sleeping with arise, the dead will be made alive. Those still sleeping will be unable to stand the pressure of not experiencing fully all God has in store for them. They will cry out for the baptism of the Holy Spirit! We need to be ready to quickly disciple them because many will come with accelerated maturity. They will be ready at the far faster pace to receive and work with all the gifts of the spirit. The end times will be like the beginning. What a glorious time we live in!

ral, I was wanting to ask you, how was your visit with your step-mother?

It was really good. It was a huge stretch for me because her daughter was there as well as my brother and his wife. But we chatted a while and then I asked if we could pray for her. Lena's color came back and looked a lot more energized. I felt really good - as if I had been obedient -when I left.

I did something yesterday based upon both Todd Bentley and Bill Johnson's tapes. Both have said that we should contend for the souls of our lost relatives, and command that they be set free. I tried that yesterday with my brothers and my mom. I actually saw their chains and I found out the lies that they believed. I commanded that their chains be broken and that every lie would be exposed to the truth. I also covered them with the Blood. It took a while, because I found myself suddenly in warfare - especially with my middle brother. A spirit came up to me and asked me by what authority I was here. I said by the authority I had through Jesus and by His blood. I also said I was his sister. This spirit then said my brother was under a curse and that I couldn't have him. I said that the curse comes under the cross and that I could. I then decreed that my brother would be set free.

This is a whole different way for me to pray for my loved ones, but for the first time, I feel as if something is different. Praise God. I'm so thankful for the internet and for access to the wisdom of others.

hey all. Just popping in to say hi. Not meaning to interrupt, but looks like a good conversation.. I got one more thing to get wrapped up, then after my day gets finished,

I'm sitting here just having finished breakfast, it's 11:00 and I cannot decide what to do first..
put the trim back up around the windows (all 11 of them) on the screened in porch while fighting with the kittens and my daughter age 11, scrub the front porch and back, scrub her bedroom lol, mow the yard..hmmmm, now let me see, which would be the best to do on a day like today.???
It's so much fun doing this alone!, then I am going to come back here and read and fellowship with you girls!

We have a tropical storm heading our way. Tropical storm Fay is forecast to turn into a Cat. 1 hurricane as it makes its way to the other side of the state, only 130 mi. away, putting us on the right side of the storm, the side that gets more wind and rain. I have been praying for the Holy Spirit to send His wind and rain! And as for the storm, I pray it weakens. There's a big difference between the two. This storm is not a threat in the way of damage or mandatory evacuations, but it may mean we lose power. With that as a possibility, I am praying for direction. I have until this afternoon before we start getting some rain from it. During this time I need to fill all the jugs on hand with our RO water, clean out dd's plastic toy box to store extra water for flushing toilets and washing dishes. I need to use the perishable foods on hand as best I can so as not to lose the more costlier things. I need to buy food that can endure temperatures in the 90s, make sure the laundry is caught up, check on our young trees at our CSA to see they are protected from the high winds, etc......Lord, help me get all my ducks in a row. And yes, put gas in Mom's car, and ours if they need it. I pray for the same anointing that was on Joseph to prepare for 7 years of famine. I have that same anointing already through Christ Jesus. Want to respond to your thoughtful insights, pc4. Let's pray we have power (electricity)! Jere, hope you are not stressed out. Praying for the Lord's strength and guidance for you. ral, that's some powerful praying there girl! My computer, or this forum is acting kooky, so forgive me for the format of my post. Hallelujah! God is good. As I was in prayer the Holy Spirit spoke so much to me. It is not the storm that men can forecast alone we prepare for, it is the storms they have no knowledge of that the Lord our God will prepare us for as we abide in Him. There was too much He said to say it all here, as I am busy. I do have great peace, hallelujah, and thank you pc4, and all who will be praying as you see this.

It's important we keep all things in prayer. Our God answers. He is working in your relatives' lives, ral and pc4. He is working in Irene's and her husband's ministry. We stand together in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I especially need prayer in communicating effectively with my husband. The enemy is ever seeking to bring misunderstanding between us. We are both committed to no strife in our marriage, yet there are things in the spiritual realm I can't describe here. In short, pray for effective loving communication and that I continue to hear the Lord in all things and can adequately express it. Too many influences from the world are making their way into our home, things not necessarily bad in and of themselves, but distractions that interrupt the flow of the Spirit. We must hear in these last days.

Dear Friends .

My husband and I attended a service with John Bevere last night. Powerful. He talked about honor, and how important honoring those in authority over us, with us, or under us is to God. Honoring is to esteem highly, like precious gold. Dishonoring means to treat as common.

He mentioned how honoring our parents is the fifth commandment - placed before murder, stealing or adultery.

In the last week, I've been praying that the Holy Spirit would convict me of hidden sin - sin that I've not been aware of before. When John talked about honoring our parents, the Holy Spirit convicted me in a mighty way. My mother has paranoid schizophrenia. Most of what she says is colored by her mental illness. For many years, as a way to dismiss her, I've referred to her as my "crazy mother" or to my kids, their "crazy grandmother". The Holy Spirit showed me how I was training my children to not honor me, and that they needed me to insist that they always honor me. I haven't. I've let dishonoring comments slide, I've tolerated the rolled eyes and pouting behavior, I've made dishonoring of me a lesser offense than not cleaning up their messes. I've been in deep sin.

I'm committed now to always talk of my mother in a honoring way. To treat her as a precious jewel. And to insist that my children treat me the same way.

Remember that woman in her 80's who is teaching a healing seminar I told you about? I've been talking about her a lot because she inspired me to not fear old age. Before I arrived, I randomly thought how fun it would be to run into her (she attends this church), but since this is a large church with hundreds of people attending, I immediately dismissed this thought as silly. Well,,,,,on my way to my seat, fighting the crowds, I bumped into a woman. I apologized and she said we were meant to touch. I turned around, and it was her!!!! I told her how much I appreciated her video training, learned so much, etc. She hugged and kissed me, and invited me to attend her next training. I returned to my seat amazed. This one was from my Daddy. God is so good.

That is so cool, ral! God is good! Sometimes it is when we least expect it. That is an example of the Lord giving you the desires of your heart.

Praise the Lord! We have accomplished much today. Mom was all set and did not us to go by, so we spent extra time on the farm helping Val while her husband is out of town. They have 30 acres they take of and lots of farm animals. We actually had a good deal of fun as we collected a few dozen eggs, washed them, and put them in cartons for sale. Yes, wonderful free-roaming hens. My husband helped her hook up the pig pen and chicken coop to the tractor to be pulled up a few feet. Every day it is moved a little so the pigs can root and the chickens come behind them to leave their droppings, giving nitrogen to the earth. Then the land will be ready for planting seed. Amazing! We learned so much as we went to help her. Somehow I feel like I came out with more, though we went to see to her needs in preparation for the storm. And, the wonderful thing about loving people is having a platform to share Jesus. We talked about the Lord as she asked me about being concerned about my husband being out of work, yes again. I was able to tell her in regular terminoligy that we weren't and why. Often we as Christians fall into what i call "Christian-ese", a language using so many cliches that the average non-believer can't understand or is turned off by it. "Praise the Lord ", "I got a witness in my spirit", "in the Word", stuff we know, but they don't. It sounds like religion to them, not a relationship with the living God, who is our Father.

Ramble, ramble.....it's the caffeine.

Thank you, ral, for your sweet prayer. My husband and I have had wonderful communication. We have not because we ask not. (James 4) Well, I was honing in on communicating, and it has been good today. I have followed the Lord's leading and He has shown me what to say and do. And hubby deserves lots of credit too. He is so cool. He loves helping people and being on a farm. I think he could have stayed there all day.

I appreciate your sharing about Bevere's message. That is really good to remember - honoring those in authority, and teaching our children to respect us. We are setting them up to respect God. Do we want them to hear and obey the first time God speaks? We must train them by requiring them to respond to us that way. Okay, I'm convicted now.

I too must be careful how I talk about my mother because she has her issues. She's hard of hearing, has some type of attention deficit disorder, and is totally consumed in talking about her problems. To top it off she is convinced no one loves her. It's a deep subject, but suffice it to say, she can be hard to be around. She does not relate to my daughter, never taking interest in her, but demands she love her. It is very hard on a child to love someone who never pays attention to them but only heaps guilt on her if she doesn't show love to her. I have counseled my daughter countless times, being careful not to shed a bad light on Mom. It's challenging! Yes, I have to honor Mom.

Loved your post Cindy! I could see you out on the farm, enjoying yourself, getting close to the land. I was country raised, but have been a city girl (well, town girl now) all my adult life. Every time I return to a farm or state fair, I'm filled with tremendous nostalgia. Its healthy to be reminded of where our food comes from. Wonderful that you have developed a loving relationship with people to whom you can witness. Yes, Praise God!!!

Hi friends! Supposed to get 9 inches of rain today! Flash flood warnings are in affect and tornado watches. We have quite a puddle in the front and back yard already. Our house is not in danger, and we still have power, as you can see.

Can't stay because hubby is here wanting to check out jobs/careers/business on the computer.

Welcome to the fellowship thread.

Actually, I do live in an ark. I abide under the shadow of the Most High, and no plague comes near my dwelling, nor am I touched by evil for He has given his angels charge over me.

The rain has slacked off a bit. Our street is under water, ankle deep. Some places are much worse from what I saw on the news. I pray for my dad. He lives in a moblie home that is in much need of repairs as it is. Strangely, the storm is strengthening over land. In all my years here I've learned that storms weaken as they pass over land. This is the strangest thing. Very peculiar. They just don't do that, but it is. It will be passing us about 40 mi. away in a few hours. I believe the eye may pass over his place. As far as I know, they are in a shelter nearby.

Mom has a leak in her bedroom. The manger of the apt. complex helped move her bed away from it. So far, her furniture is not damaged. I wish she were not alone, but that is her preference, and she has her mind made up.

Dear Father God thank YOU that you are with us through such times.. Father God I pray that Cindy's family members are helped through this in such a way that they know it was YOU!!
