  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

1.) What are your views on global warming?
I think that it's real and not some conspiracy theory propaganda like some people believe. I believe that it might be partly due to natural climate patterns but that it is mostly due to human causes. IMO it's important to do what you can to be more environmentally responsible. God gave us this wonderful planet and it seems disrespectful (and obnoxious) to trash that beautiful gift.

2.) What subjects at school did you like?
In high school I liked literature classes and history (and gym class only when we were doing archery). Now in college I don't really like literature classes because I like to read what I want to. I love love love history classes. I'm particularly liking African and Asian history classes.

3.) What is the worst job that you have ever had?
Working at McDonalds when I was 16. I was only at that job for less than a month because I felt like I wasn't paid enough to be screamed at every day.

4.) What is your favourite book in the Bible?
I'm not sure. I like Romans but right now I'm reading the New Testament from the beginning.....tomorrow I'll be starting Luke.

5.) Who is your favourite character in Dr Who? (I had a weird dream last night about Captain Jack, lol).
Other than Donna Noble, my favorite character is The Doctor. I find him very interesting. Captain Jack is probably my 2nd favorite character because he's funny, charming, and hilarious.

6.) Who has been your favourite assistant so far besides Donna Noble?
I've only seen the new Doctor Who, so, I've only seen 3 companions. My 2nd favorite would be Rose because I found Martha to be very annoying with her sappy gooey eyes for the Doctor. Rose was tough and didn't let her feelings for the Doctor get in the way of the adventures.

If money were no object and you could do anything or go anywhere with absolute freedom. First thought, what would you do with your time. What comes to your head first?

My first thought is traveling in Europe and then Asia and then come back to the US for more traveling.

What period of history do you enjoy studying the most ?
That would probably be any history since the Industrial Revolution, so from the late 18th century.

I also really like to understand current events through history so with African history, I like to study the period of colonization 'til now.

1.) If you could go back in time what era would you choose?
I would choose late 1800s-early 1900s (up to WWI) because it was an exciting time and people were optimistic and it was a time of activism for women's rights (like the basics of being able to vote).

2.) Which part of History do you find the most interesting and captivating?
The time from the Industrial Revolution up to the Vietnam War in US history. For world history, I like a period that defines current times for the country/area (Western Europe-post-WWII, China-starting when it became the Republic of China, Africa-colonization to now, etc.).

3.) Do you own any pets?
No, but only because in this apartment (and in most rental places in this city) does not allow pets. I'd like to adopt a dog and maybe a cat. The closets things I have to pets are the bunnies and rabbits that live around my apartment complex.

If you could change one thing in history, what would it be ?

That's a tough question. There's quite a few things that I'd like to change. Some of the things I'd like to change probably would still happen just through someone else. For instance by making Hitler never be born, it's quite possible that someone else would have created the same evil (or maybe I've just heard of too many books using alternate histories).

I'll cheat and name two of the things I'd like to change. First, I'd like to make it so that President Lincoln was never assassinated. I'm not saying that Lincoln was a saint or an African-American activist, but I think that things would have been/would be much better for African-Americans (and race relations between blacks and whites). Johnson was a terrible president and very much a racist. I would like for Johnson to have never been made president.

The 2nd thing I'd like to change is George W. Bush never becoming president. It's not even a matter of him being a Republican. I think this country (and parts of the world) would be in better shape if we would have had a different president (Republican or Democrat) starting in 2000.
