It is SOLID..... and still needs to have some MUSCLE DEFINITION worked-into it
I have, just two more Tuesday afternoons to complete my working of it
and then we break up for the summer holidays, by which time it should be
dried, sufficient to permit it to be fired for the first time [pre glaze]
It's forelegs are, still a bit heavy and will be 'shaved' to become more-proportionate
They, [legs] have to be fairly substantial [robust] because I intend for it to become
a present for my Granddaughter 'Alicia' who, will be seven [7] this year
The class leader dissuaded me from creating a plinth to support it
and then, trimming the legs to appear more realistic
by mentioning that the new clay would not dry as much as the horse
and that they could come apart in the firing
At the end of the class session, I almost, wrapped and put away the horse
without taking these 'shots' of it, to show you
How big is it ?
Well, the tissue upon which you see it standing
is actually @ ten inches long by, just over four inches wide
The horse, presently weighs around, one Kilo
but will, become lighter from reduction and water removal in the coming weeks
I intend to colour it, as a Palomino pony is coloured
straw-coloured mane and tail with a sackcloth coloured body
Hope you like
