CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why is it that *sometimes* my posts don't appear immediately but I get this message saying my post will first have to be approved by a moderator? And then it appears like an hour later? It's happened 2-3 times up to now out of my 50 odd posts. Does it also happen to others, or does CF think I'm a shifty lad?
If you are posting in certain forums covered by the Recovery mods, then they do moderate every post.
But here you should not be having that problem. However, I did have another problem here in TAW where I posted, saw the post, but the post did not appear. It was strange. I tried posting it again, and got the message that I was duplicating my prior post. However, my post did not display in the forums and the thread remained buried within the forum with no new posts at all. I waited five minutes and still there was no post. So, once again I posted the same message, and went through the same process only to find that my post was not posted, and the thread remained unchanged.
Finally, after 10 minutes, I posted a short message, like hello, and then edited it and finally, my original message was able to be posted. So, I guess CF is burping during its reconstruction and sometimes messages get lost.
Contact one of the mods if you are curious. They should know.

Nah, they just mod all the posts coming from a Finnish IP...
Bunch of shady folks over there... I mean they're just thawing out, bunch of crazy ideas swirling in their heads. Nah, honestly, I have no clue! Then again I've been here so long that there's probably moss growing on top of my ears...

Just post "Amen" or "Later" - some simple single word.
Then edit your post with the message you wanted to send once your post has been accepted (type it in a word doc and then cut and paste).
