I digress. Perhaps I overstated my analogy.
But I only was trying to make a point.
Fantanstic, make your point but please make it sensical.

I am kind of tired of hearing black theology = Wright = Obama when there is not one iota of real tangible proof or example of that being any kind of logical result.

It would be equally nonsensical of me to say, since McCain for example, has a compaign office filled with advisors who advise him, who are lobbyists for other nations to obtain American interests; that McCain therefore is all about the selling off of America.

But that ANALOGY is the bad arguments that I see steadily by a handful well known here.

Your just another one following suit, but I'm sure Christ would be proud of the deception.

It can't be a digression when all along there have been nothing but bad claims. Throwing in the hitler analogy is on par with the absurd claims already played out.
You can stop with the judging and make your case with factual evidence.

I have spiritual discernment. You may choose to belittle me. But I answer to a higher power than you my friend.

I have stated that BLT and Mr. Wright = Hate. Obama knows what I am talking about.

I just asked for a reason argument, but instead I am provided platitudes.

Rev. Wright isn't running for President. So why should we care - especially in light of the many important issues of this election that are being ignored?

Comments by a pastor who dissents from the theology of Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright is here.

Hope his tour is successful. Hearing more than a few people say "I didn't know black churches were like Senator Obama's church". Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. will correct that impression.

#49:in reference to the article: Nobody has ever said ALL african americans ascribe to black liberation theology. Only ignorant positions create such misperceptions. Moreover, iam seeing this trend of black peeps being referenced to defend the defamation against TUCC. If the arguments against TUCC there should never be a need to seek skin color to support those arguments and in fact, it could be argued it's pretty racist.

#46: the quality of spiritual discernment is much like humility or intelligence. As soon as a self proclamation is uttered, it is negated. One cannot claim to be humble, intelligent, or having spiritual discernment. If a person possesses any of those qualities they can only be revealed by the person's actions, not his mere words.

Once again: Reverend Wright is not running for President. So I don't think anyone cares what he says and believes.

You said TUCC should change it's named to the Divided Church of Christ and that was based on the ignorant claim the church is racist.
No, it was based on the fact that the churches pastor is racist. It's based on the fact that 75% of America thinks he's divisive. It's based on Wright's remarks, which even Obama labeled admitted were offensive, wrong, and divisive.

RDNS said:
The 'things' I listed above would be examples of racism. Iow, what can be shown to prove the church is racist?
Concerning the 8000 members of TUCC, I couldn't say how many of them are racist without hearing their thoughts. Certainly, we have Wrights and Cones racist statements.
RDNS said:
As for the poll, once again. Ugh. Were peeps given misinformation about Wright? Did they, like many here falsely claim Wright made the chickens roosting comment about 9E? A poll like that is worthless because there is no way to prove those polled were actually informed.
I expect they saw the same clips we all did and three quarters of them found Wright's comments to be divisive. Just because 75% of them had a different opinion then you is little reason to call them misinformed.

RDNS said:
As for the 'does this mean iam not going to show the false witnessing' question, gee, could you give me more than two minutes to respond before assuming bad things?
Well, it's been a few hours and four posts and I'm still not seeing it.

Oops. Forgot to point out why I laughed at the wiki reference, and it's not about the source itself at all but only defamatory statements about TUCC and blt have been made when it's clear nothing was known about blt. Here's the breakdown: some op ed pieces get slapped on line. Some read those pieces without doing their homework then parroted the charges out of ignorance. When pressed to support the claims the google jet gets put on mach speed and bam! Look! Another opportunity to cherry pick! If the wiki article had been read instead of simply grasping for anything to support the defamation then the embarrassing claim blt is racist wouldn't have been made. Then again, maybe it would have cause agendas no nothing of facts and intellectual honesty.
Sorry, make all the accusations of cherry picking you like. 'Cherry-picked comments' cost Imus and Lott their jobs and cost George Allen his election.
Obama came out against the first two both incidents, but did a 180 when several of Wright's comments were broadcast.
I've read the Wiki articla and several others on BLT, and don't see how a multitude of good works can dismiss Cone's racist definition of BLT. Bookend it with all the self-help programs you like, water it down with decades of feeding programs and Kente cloth you like, but at the end of the day, Cone's definition of BLT is this-

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Can you find anything in there that would be a good example of God's love? Of unity? Of 'Love thy neighbor?

You asked for info on BLT and I gave you no less that James Cones' definiion. Wouldn't you agree that James Cone is qualified to give a definition of BLT?

Is black theology a bigger issue to real Americans than rising gas prices, the fifth year of a seemingly unwinnable war and a bad economy?

No? Then why should we care about Black Theology and a pastor who isn't even running for President?

No, it isn't. But if someone is going to run for president, you want to get the full measure of the man. If he's been under the spiritual guidance of a racist,
divisive preacher for two decades, I expect it's worth questioning just exactly HOW MUCH of an influence Wright had on Obama. Wouldn't you agree?
I mean, If a Republican who spoke at Bob Jones university is an issue, how much more is Wright?

He's been at the church for twenty years, but yet there's no proof that Obama's a racist. Nor is there any proof that Obama even agrees with Wright.

Since such a link can't be established, and since there are much more important issues to discuss in this race, it's irrelevant.

Well I checked again and guess what - Rev. Wright is STILL not running for president.

Barack Obama is running for president. I see no evidence he is a racist. Since he is half white and half black then who was he supposed to be racist against - himself? :D

And BTW, why are whites SO upset with the words of the Rev. Wright - ya think they are afraid that the minority black people are going to start suppressing the majority white people's civil rights? :D

:D
