I remember from history classes that the American colonies, right after the Revolution, were opposed to the control of a centraql government. But it worked despite their objections.

Perhaps a world government could have benefits - such as being empowered to prevent nations from having wars.

The central government has worked in the favor of the people who have been working toward a central world government for a very long time.


This false promise of lasting peace is going to be part of the reason people will accept the Anti Christs one world Government and believe him to be God.
It will give a temporary 42 month peace though.

The signs point to the fact that the Antichrist may be alive on this earth this very day. But we will not know who he is until he declares himself. But those saved after will know his identity immediately once he confirms a 7 year treaty with Israel and allows sacrifices to begin again on the temple mount.

The Middle East is a tinder box ready to ignite. Never has there been such a loud cry for peace as there is today. There will be one man who promises and actually delivers it. But it will be a false peace. Real peace will come when the Prince of Peace establishes His kingdom on earth.

Coal mines and timber industries can be run (as per Prout economy) by the national government on a no-profit no-loss basis. Everything else can be run as cooperatives. We can follow the sterling example of Vermont and establish the custom of town hall meetings and participatory democracy, participatory budget process. Some southern states are already moving in the direction of secession. Certainly Hawaii and Alaska have similar movements.
