  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Musical Chairs With A Twist sign-up going on in BE

OK, it is time for sign ups for the new Musical Chairs With A Twist game.

This differs from the usual Musical Chairs game because Kristen and Breezy can both stop the music. In addition there will be bonus blessings adding up to 4,000 blessings for predetermined things that will not be disclosed until what time they happen. LOL! Between Kristen and Breezy there will be distributing 50,000 blessings besides the bonus blessings. :ebil:

Fifteen people can join... Signups have already started. :tutu:

The game will hopefully be starting tomorrow afternoon, but we may have to delay if we do not get enough sign ups!

There are only about 4 spaces left. So hurry if you want to join.

How it works. We post that we are walking around the chairs. Then when Breezy of Kristen come on and posts the STOP sign we all post that we are sitting. The last one sitting is out and then the game continues. It is just like the real musical chairs game. It is so much fun. We tease the host saying that we are either sitting too long and our butts hurt...or we have walked too long and our feet hurt... Lots of really fun fellowship.

I would love to hear it.

A funny story? About a roller coaster?

Yes, tell it :)

Ok - by way of explanation I live in NW Ohio - about 60 miles from Cedar Point - an amusement park that is world renowned for their roller coasters. They have a lot of high school and college employees - and several years ago my son had a friend who's older sister worked there. She shared the story - so I believe it.

The park has signs all over the place about not going on certain rides if you have health (i.e. heart) problems. There was apparently one thing they didn't consider.

A gentleman got on one of the roller coasters - the kind where your arms are strapped in and your legs are hanging free. It's very fast and you do get shaken around a bit. Anyhow - about halfway through the ride the gentleman's leg prosthesis comes off from all the shaking and flies through the air landing on the hood of a occupied car in the "antique car ride."

Obviously security had to retrieve the prosthesis and take it over to the gentleman when he got off the coaster. Can you imagine being the family in the car where it ended up though?

And yes, I'm warped - but I do think it's funny.

LOL! He was very lucky to have gotten it back! If that had happened on one of the roller coasters at some other parks such as the ones at Disney in Fl, his prosthesis would probably ended up in the swamp!

The people on that antique car ride must have been going through all sorts of emotions, from freaking out, possibly grossing out and then a storm of laughter! hahaha

I guess I am warped too.... :sorry:

ooohh... I know that area! I lived in Kent for a while several years ago, and have a friend there though I rarely get to see her. :(

I love the story. That would be a shocker! lol

There was an added warning on the roller coaster rides in Florida to remove prosthesis. Also anyone wearing a cast could not ride on the ride. I guess that must have happened in other places for the warning to be adjusted.

I probably would have laughed also, then offered to help. I have a warped mind.
