  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have some very highly questionable "real men" here. Crying and eating quiche? I bet your favorite movie is "The Notebook" or "Titanic," huh?

Coach
Jesus cried. And he was more manly than you. So there.:p

The hardest task a man must accomplish is living in the warrior image of God in which he was created It is very difficult, especially these days, when that image is looked down upon.

Coach
what verse is it that says we were are warriors in God's Image?
or passage?

it's not necesarly one passage but we are created in God's image [every part of God's image] and god often shows a warrier side of himself and he calls himself a warrier. this philophy was first introduced by John Eldredge in Wild at Heart and he limits it to men...... but I don't think this idea is limited to men. The fact is that both men and women are fighters because God is a fighter and we are made in his image.

You gotta be careful with a phiophy like this though because the bible ALSO says that we are to love our neighbor and that our battle isn't against flesh and blood. A battle is nothing if it's without a cause. We are to fight FOR humanity against the powers of darkness.
