So you're telling us that it's taken you 78 pages to just give a word and you're not trying to teach or convince anybody of something here? I find that hard to believe. How much truth is enough truth in your witness to convince people? Shouldn't all of your witness be true? Why do you assume that people are automatically closed to the Holy Spirit and Jesus? Particularly in a Christian forum such as this one, where the majority of people here, I would say are Christians?

You should take notice of how many people have read this thread. Over five thousand have read this thread alone. Now how many preachers do you know who talk to that many people even in a year?

Really? Does the counter on this site only increase it's count by one each time a new person reads this thread who hasn't read it before. Or does it count how many times the thread has been viewed? Keep in mind that if it goes by how many times a thread has been viewed, then you don't need 5,000 people to get 5,000 views.

It doesn't matter how many preachers talk to how many people in a given year. The number of people you talk to doesn't affect the truth of your message.

You'll give a word to anybody who talks to you. You'll also eventually ignore those who disagree with you and conclude that they are either not following God in faith, or do not have the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

You should remember something, Jesus is God, and as such he is the lawgiver and law enforcer. We are to do as he tells us.

Giver, Good Luck in what you are doing. The only thing a person can do it tell folks what Jesus said. Pretty much that is it. Casting pearls before swine is all we seem to be doing these days. Telling someone about the truth and the light that already has their minds made up will come to nothing. We aren't obligated to convince..........Just to tell. It's out there and on judgment day that will be all that is required : )

I don't know if it has been said here, but I'll say it again if necessary...Those who believe it is okay to take a life or hurt someone don't know God. What gives anyone the right to decide who should live and who should die? Most of you have learned about your god in the modern religious gathering places that you like to call churches. The churches that you attend are gateways to spiritual impotence and destruction. Don't soil your garments stepping into these cesspools of hypocrisy. Get out of them if you are still able to hear the voice of God. GET OUT!!!

Until I was in my forties the only teaching about God came from man. Jesus called me to his ministry. I asked him what seminary to attend. He told me ” NO! Don’t read about me. I will teach you about me.” That is when I started to know God.

mmkay. I've done 95% of my biblical study with no earthly guidance also, but apparently we've come to different conclusions. If you've studied as much as you say, then you know that God expects action out of us.

it took this many pages for someone to play the 'swine' card. I've given several examples of Jesus not in line with the 'total pacifism' ploy, and also bypassing certain laws because the sustenance of life is more important. God expects us to do things, help others, not sit and pray all day. If you feel like God wants you to sit around and not be a defender of the helpless, then thats fine. I just thank God that some of us are called to do it.

Anyone that preaches in the name of God is a teacher, whether they like it or not. Just by vocalizing or typing in some form of theology is a teaching, whether it be false, unfounded, or in this case, out-of-line and contextually unsubstantiated.

You are missing one very big point of Christ's life on earth.. He led by example.



His earthly ministry was also a reflection of exactly how we are to be to please our Lord.

So if someone attacks your family you wouldn't stop him? Or even restrain him for fear of hurting him?

p.s. why are you making generalizations about churches? have you been to them all? Do you know what my church teaches? Do you even know if I go to church? I'll be sure if I go to church sometime though to let the pastor know that he is host to a gateway of spiritual impotence and destruction, or at least so says the guy who knows absolutely nothing about the church at all.
