KANGA!!!!!!
Hey you!! its been a while!
howyadoin? you been missed 'round here.
Gee thanks, that's sweet.
9 months now! wow! I remember when you first posted here.
this is so cool to see you posting and know your doin good.
Yes. And, as always, it's really only one day at a time. I try not to rest in the fact that I've been sober for a certain amount of months. If I do that I start thinking that maybe I could handle a drink. Even after all this time I think it would be very easy to slip if I let my guard down. But, for the most part, I'm doing really well.

hey guess what? I went and got saved since the last time you posted here! aint that somethin?
Oh, I can't even tell you how thrilled I am to hear this.

Two pieces of advice: there is often a spiritual "high" at first, a honeymoon period. Obviously I'm saying that whatever level of "happy" you are feeling right now might not last forever. But, hey you might be the exception. I'm just talking from personal experience.
Personally I think God creates this period so you are enthusiastic and proactive about finding your place in the body of Christ. Then, when things get back to normal, serving God has become a part of your daily life.
Also, stay in the Word of God. We are so blessed to have a manual straight from our Creator. Often people don't take advantage of this precious gift. I suggest that you find a bible study group, or purchase a devotional that you like, whatever will help you to work reading the Scriptures into your routine.
Again, Praise God that you have accepted the great gift of salvation.

May God continue to place people in your life's path who will help you grow strong in your walk with Christ.
