Foru.ms - a new beginning and a fresh start

When Erwin first brought forward his major changes almost 2 months ago I was against them, even resigned being a moderator because of it. However, after much prayer and thought I came into agreement with the changes that have taken place.

The name change? It's only a name, I don't understand how so many people can get so upset over a name change, imo it's only cosmetic. The real changes have taken place already and have already been put into practise.

In actuality, I'm very happy and excited over the posibilities that lie ahead. The potential to reach even more non-christians with the gospel and being a witness for them is greater than ever before for this website! If that doesn't fire you up then I guess you'll have to say hot with your offenses.

Does he care? There were more than enough "hissy fits", as you call them, going on when all the changes happened last month. Yet, all he did was make it worse. He didn't listen to the "hissy fits." Why will he listen this time?

Have you read these "hissy fits"? The name isn't the main issue. The changes on 07/7/7 are much worse. That is what put started the end of CF.

i've read some of them yes, who can keep up? hey i'm not a big fan of the wiki myself. that to me is the biggest mistake of the reforms but i can't change that.

In theory, sure. The problem is now this site is just another in a long list of social networking sites and though it's not starting from scratch, there won't be the same interest.

To be honest with you I never heard of the term "networking site" before yesterday but I do disagree with you and here's why.

As for this site now being just another in a long list of sites, no I can't agree with that. This site still has a majority of christians that make their faith in Christ a high priority, at least currently. In the future christians will still have a strong voice here even if we become the minority.

It's like America for example. America doesn't have christian or Christ in it's name but the majority of it's citizens do consider themselves to be christians. The government is considered to be secular but our constitution and many or most of our laws are based on Christians morals that most christians would agree to.

Now whether or not our government here in America acknowledges Jesus Christ or not should never give us as christians reason to believe or feel that our voices can't be heard and or that we can't make a difference in public opinion. We are christians and they will know us by our love. We should be out there shaping public opinion and we have been given the power and authority from our Lord above to do just that, it doesn't matter whether we are in the majority or in the minority. We need to exercise that power and authority and put it into practise, not sherk our duties and run away from it because we've been offended.

Matthew 11:12, From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

That says "forceful men lay hold of it" not men so in tuned to their offenses that that becomes their priority.

There really should be only one place Erwin posts. The thread Erwin uses to post information should be closed to the rest of the members. If they have comments they can move to another thread. Otherwise, it will continue to promote miscommunication and misunderstanding. I could not figure out if Erwin had posted anything or not this morning until this post..

Not unexpected, lucky they werent deleted, however, even if we are silenced the feelings will still be there and the results will still be the same. The only one who can change this is Erwin and it is he who we need to hear from and he should tell us what his intentions are in light of all this opposition so that decisions can be made based on his words and actions
