So, tell me then, is everyone who has reservations about the change now a "name calling fundamentalist?" I haven't seen any name calling, however, I may just have to add that to my sig line, If it's the "will of the people."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is not Heaven. It is not even the new Earth. When the New Heaven and the New Earth do come, it will not be a democracy then, but a theocracy. However, as long as Jesus is not our King on Earth, as long as the prince of this world reigns, then, the closest we CAN get to justice is by the Will of the People!

You can only know if the actions are 'right' if you first know that the beliefs are 'right'.

Anything else is a free-for-all.
I completely disagree with you.

Atheists are perfectly capable of "doing the right thing."

Just look at the story of Good Samaritan - The "correct believers" walked right on by the poor soul who had been attacked. The one who did not have the "right belief did the Christly thing and gave him aid.

No, right action can come from any heart. (And if we acted in love and compassion more often, I wouldn't mind a "free-for-all" of that sort!)

He is King, yes, but He is NOT come down to rule us yet. We are still under the rule of the prince of darkness and God allows this for a time.

Whatever the members of each forum decide it to be. Heaven is now a democracy. I'n't it grand?
Does giving someone the right to say that sky is purple make the sky purple? Nope. But by giving them that chance to be heard, you have opened the lines of dialog just like Paul did.

All beliefs about God are problematic. "You never know how much you really believe anything until truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you." C.S. Lewis

"Just because you go to Church it doesn't mean to say that you are a born again Christian." Billy Graham

Is that what you want to do? Be a thorn in everyone's side? Why would you do that?

I just want to debate without worrying about getting cencored and warned over jokes, or statements of facts, or for my opinions.

PM me if you know me. I want to know who you are. I won't tell and I am not sure that it would matter now anyway.

I've seen your name before, so I'm sure we've argued about something.

Well, as it turned out, the priest and the levite (and the lawyer, which is who the story is really about!) did not believe correctly..for they did not believe that the injured person was their neighbor.

The Samaritan's correct actions stemmed from his correct beliefs.

I don't recall any of those names. However, I do agree that being able to talk openly, joke, have fun here is going to be great!

but according to the temporal and spiritual authorities of the day - the Samaritan did NOT have the right beliefs.

Speak for yourself; I'm not under his rule.

Jesus is my King right here, right now, on this earth.

Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." Luke 17:20-21

Not sure I agree here, pardner.

The Samaritans are never called the "right believers" in Scripture.

The Priest, Levite & Lawyer THOUGHT they had right belief.

Does the Kingdom of God need more Christian hypocrites who pass right by those in need, who point fingers of blame and judgment at those who are different, and who carelessly miss the mote in their own eyes?

Or does the Kingdom of God need more people who do the right thing, regardless of the status of their fatih?
