I am reposting my thoughts.... I still keep hearing the same thing.... "I have given this... I have put in this many hours....I'm not giving another dime...."

I am so thankful Jesus didn't take this attitude when considering the cross in Gethsemene knowing how many times I would be ungrateful for His sacrifice...
Oh my...

Are you saying that those who do not support this idea are comparable to Jesus saying No to the Cross?

Oh please love. Let's work on those analogies, shall we?

Yup:)

But it still doesn't give him the right to call non-Christians fools
He was quoting the Bible.

The truth is, God say's that those who do not believe in Him(God) are fools...

It is not an attack...just reality.

The changes will do nothing but open up a vacuum where anything can be sucked in and anything can mean something else.

Has CF gone Unitarian?
Oh yeah, unitarians get to post in Christian areas now. Way cool.

the site is called Christian forums. It's for Christians to come and fellowship. That's what I want to do. I don't want to share my personal feelings about God then have an athiest tell me straight up that I'm stupid for believing in God.

hey...I just quoted the bible. The bible is my authority, not you, not Erwin not anyone. Take it up with God if you don't like it.

Personally, I found it a bit hurtful. I don't think we can co-exist easily if we're going to insult one another, and for my part at least, I'd like to be able to. :)

I doubt that because God would lead to goodness. Not division.
The site is divisive now. This decision, while chaotic at first, will make it much less so in the future. It is a move towards being a light and not a damaging influence.

The non-Christians won't be a part of the Christian section.
Actually that is exactly what is happening. There will no longer be a Christian Only section. All fora will be open to everyone according to Erwin.

Well, thanks, Erwin.

I'm sure you meant well.

Interesting. That basically takes the vision out of your hands again.

So how will CF be Christian any more?

Not surprising, really. Most of the membership wanted a Christian forum. It will be interesting to see what replaces CF.

Goodbye all!

Erwin, it seems that no matter what you do, you can't make everyone happy. I guess that's the nature of the internet, of life in general isn't it? If this is a good choice or a bad choice, I don't know. But it is a choice you have made and I'm willing to give it time to evolve and see how things go. No matter what reforms you decided, people were going to get upset and leave. You had to make a choice. This is, after all, your site and you should get happiness from it. You've certainly put enough work into it that you shouldn't be highly stressed just thinking about coming online here.

I am sorry some people feel they are being slighted. I do appreciate everyone who has helped serve on CF in any capacity, for any length of time. And I can imagine moderating on up is a time consuming and thankless job. But hopefully people will see that a good moderator is a good moderator, no matter if they belong to the same clique or share the same beliefs. It has certainly been my experience that some who disagree with me most have been very good while some who have agreed with me a great deal have been horrible (and vice verse). I would hope that the membership at large wants a working site and will adapt how they vote to ensure that. It might take a bit for the kinks to be worked out, but I have faith it will happen. And if it doesn't, I also have faith that Erwin will help guide the community to make sure it lines up with his vision for his site.
