In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WHEN your baby is born, he / she will have a beautiful name too!

I have this vague memory that when I was scanned for possible endometriosis (because AF was soooooooo painful) they siad I had a tipped uterus. That was before I had two healthy children - so don't let a tipped uterus scare you!

from this site: http://www.womens-health.co.uk/retrover.asp
Will A Retroverted Uterus Affect Fertility?
Many women who have a retroverted uterus worry that it will affect their future fertility. However, this condition does not appear to affect conception in any way, and most women with retroverted uteruses will go on to experience healthy pregnancies.

I thought I was all cool this month and I was going to just wait till way past the due date if AF didn't show but I am getting ants in my pants! I've had miniscule spotting yesterday and a little cramping this morning but nothing since. My cycle is usually a bit shorter so tomorrow morning would be 26 days, about my cycle length. I have a test hidden in the back of the cupboard... the temptation to POAS is HUGE. My heart is racing as I write this.

What would you do?

That is very reassuring to hear!! Thank you so much for sharing that with me! I was really worrying about it... I plan to really get a lot of info from my Doctor when I go in...

ooohh - I would say wait to test - but I know that I couldn't. I get soo impatient! Sometimes I'll tell myself, wait one more day... maybe you could try telling yourself just to wait a day or two?? LOL - but if you are like me, you won't be able to!! Whatever you decide, let us know what you find out!! I hope to see a BFP from you very soon!!! Good Luck!!!!

Thanks! 10.30pm here so going to TRY to sleep! LOL. Bet I'm up at 5am!

Sorry about your AF, but glad you were upset less long. Guess the prayer partners thing is working, even if not to get us all BFPs immediately, at least to help us all be more at peace about the situations we are in.

Will pray for you tonight, Jenrenee!

Thank you! I'm really not sure what they can do, if anything. They mentioned at one point that they could move it to how it is supposed to be but it will just go back to the way it was... or something like that. I just had a Nurse practitioner look at this, and my doctor is doing an exam on Thursday, so hopefully he can tell me more about it...
I also have a tilted uterus and it has not affected my ability to conceive or carry children (my miscarriage was due to another cause). My mum has a tilted uterus too, the advice doctor told her to fix it was to sleep on her stomach more.^_^ the thing is that in my crazy ttc mindset, I actually have tried to do this.

As for me, AF showed on time on Saturday. It only brought me down for a day, and then I went to church yesterday and felt so much better. Usually I stay upset for so much longer, so that's a plus. I have an exam set up for Thursday, so I hope they find something out that will help. Also found out my sister is planning to name her baby Jaelyn Mariah - such a pretty name, but I'm sooo jealous!! :)
But well done!

OK, so, I did wake up at 5.14am, heart racing! I did not POAS (showing, I thought, enormous discipline) and when I got up again at 7, guess who showed up? Yep, AF. Boy am I glad I didn't waste that test! But of course a little :( about AF...

Having given our fertility to God I am now always so conflicted about these things. On the one hand I would really love to have lots more babies. On the other hand, part of giving my fertility to God is also accepting that what I want is not the main issue any more. Does that make sense? I mean, if God wants us to have just 2 and be grateful, that's what I have to do. Plus it IS reason to be grateful - I have kids, which is more than many of you here. So it's like, what am I complaining about? So I don't even really know how to pray for myself on this.

Letting go and letting God, as they say. Maybe He's delaying because we have to move house in a month and it would be tough doing that with first trimester exhaustion and He does know best. But maybe this is it for us. It is not knowing what His will for our lives is that I find the hardest, I think.

If Iknew this was it, I could grieve, and make new plans for how to give my life in his service. But not knowing means I live in a cycle of hope and sadness and fear - and all that with guilt for feeling that way, 'cos I should just be praising him IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

:sigh:

Thanks for letting me vent a bit.

:groupray: is what we need round here - and I feel blessed that we have that.

I'm sorry Anna - AF hurts every month. My BFF has been trying to have her 2nd child for over 2 years now, she feels guilty for wanting another when she already has a great son. I tell her not to, b/c she still has the same desire she had before she got pregnant with Jack.

I'm just waiting on AF to show up - should be here tomorrow. I haven't had any symptoms that I normally have, but I know she'll be here, unless there is an act of God at work.

I'll be 30 a week from Thurs - I'm happy that my parents are visiting, etc, but I hate that I'm turning 30 and I won't be pregnant.

I am anxious to hear what you found out!! :) Lots and Lots of prayers coming your way!! I really hope you get that BFP!!!

It really helps to know I'm not the only one with this, and it didn't seem to cause you problems. I have heard the stomach thing - and, I have tried it too!! I have even tried standing on my head LOL!!! :D

OK, so, I did wake up at 5.14am, heart racing! I did not POAS (showing, I thought, enormous discipline) and when I got up again at 7, guess who showed up? Yep, AF. Boy am I glad I didn't waste that test! But of course a little :( about AF...
quote] So sorry AF had to show - but way to hold back and save your test! I had that disapointment just a couple days ago - it's so hard!! And, yeah, not knowing would be the hardest part... I've been trying to find a new home too - and have also thought maybe God is waiting for us to be settled before he blesses us with a child - all in His perfect timing. That really could have something to do with it, I think.

I'm just waiting on AF to show up - should be here tomorrow. I haven't had any symptoms that I normally have, but I know she'll be here, unless there is an act of God at work.
At least you aren't setting yourself up as bad as I do every month! I'm hoping and praying for you though! Are you planning to test or just wait it out?? Good luck!! I hope AF stays away!!

I'm going to wait it out - always do. I think I've only tested 2 or 3 times. Hubby wants to be with me when I do test, and he also wants me to wait at least a week past the time AF is due to show up. Either luckily, or unluckily I've never had to wait that long.

The times that I have tested I really wanted to know for a specific event, to prepare myself for a hard weekend, etc. Once my period started the day of my SILs baby shower - I was glad that I had already tested, so I knew it was coming.

ahhh... year 7 are so gorgeous! Hope the lesson went well! And well done for getting so many reports written. True story: the first school I taught in, one of the maths teachers wrote the following report

"Johnny sets himself low standards which he consistently fails to meet."

LOL
:)

Thanks for the support. The lesson obs went ok. The assessor irritated me a bit - he keeps saying kids are off-task every time they aren't writing something down - but they aren't off task -they are very bright and they work best by discussing their work, which I'm fine with. But it passed, and that's the main thing.

Sorry to read that AF came, but well done for your discipline in holding off testing. When we first started trying I almost wanted to test immediately after we had done the bd!

I'm on day three of AF proper, after a week of spotting, and it's exhausting, but at least she shouldn't come again now until the school holidays (vacation).

Blessings to everyone,

maharg

Maharg, thank you! I am so relieved it's not him - and hope we can find something out soon. I have been thinking of you and hope everything works out for you! Maybe God has a perfect timing all planned out for you - good luck!!

So AF showed up, really bad cramps and very heavy flow, plus a BFN yesterday when I was being impatient... it has only been 3 months of trying which I hear is very normal, just trying hard to be patient...

One way my pastor suggested praying (in general, not about TTC specifically) is to think of a characteristic that Jesus has, like how He is the Prince of Peace and ask for Him to cause that same characteristic to rise up in you since He lives in your heart. I am going to pray for Jesus, who is ever patient, to cause patience to rise up in me since His spirit dwells within me.

So sorry to hear af showed!! I was really hoping! But you are right, 3 months is not anything to worry about. They say you really don't have to worry until after a year - so you've got plenty of time. Your prayer idea is great!! I think I will do the same! Will pray for next month for both of us!

AF started today - right on schedule. Hubby and I will try again in a couple of weeks - luckily right before his trip to Japan (I was afraid he was going to be gone during that all important time).

You too?!? How disapointing!! We need something positive around here - hopefully next month there will be a long list of BFPs!

I've reached that point now of feeling like I am surrounded by pregnant women. :sigh: Hopefully that will be us soon.
I am definitely surrounded... so I know how you feel. Hubby's bf has a 1 month old baby - my bf is about 5-6 months along. My sister is due October 8 and DH's sister is due Feb 2. My good friend here at work is due in August. It seems like everyday I hear of someone else that is pregnant - and it just reminds me that I'm not. I just try to hang in there the best I can - but sometimes it just gets overwhelming. I'm saying prayers for all of us!
