CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nope, just a fender-bender. My dad was reaching into the dash during a stop light, and he hit the gas by accident and ran straight into the back end of the pick-up truck in front of us.

I was a Christian when I joined up. Since then, I have abandoned the faith, and though I am not a believer anymore, Christian theology continues to interest me.
I'd say that depends on your definition of "help."

Honestly, I regret having chosen the agnostic faith icon over the atheist icon. Looking back, I realize my choice was influenced by fear; I thought it prudent to at least leave my options open, so to speak, rather than outright deny the existence of a god, so that way maybe if I was wrong he'd be less [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed off at me in the end. Maybe I'd burn a little less hot when I got to hell, you know.
Now, I'm not scared anymore. I am proud to say that I do not believe in the existence of any god. I am an atheist.
