  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what qualities do your closest friends have in common? with each other or with me? i'll just answer for all of the above. we all love movies and music a ton. we're all goofy and can appreciate more intelligent humor but also appreciate the lowbrow stuff too. we're all fairly sarcastic and love snuggly little animals. we all like to travel and travel well together, cheese is a common love and none of us could live without mexican food.

when did you last feel most alive? why?
i'm not exactly sure to be honest. probably over easter weekend when i was in colorado with my best friend from high school. it was snowing and things just really felt right.

if money was no problem, what would you buy?
a house. a chef. a masseuse. and lots of clothes. then of course, vacations. but if i had that sort of money, i think i'd start a nonprofit organization for victims of sexual assault.

what's your favorite season?
winter.

how would you like to be remembered after you die?
i guess i hope to be thought of as having been a caring person who did what i could to help others.

do you want to have children someday?
nope. however, i have decided that if i change my mind and desire children in my future, i will want to adopt children to provide someone who already exists a life of opportunities they might not otherwise have.

do you like classical music?
yes, but i dont listen to it nearly enough.

do you play any instruments?
no, i lack musical talent

would you like to learn any instruments?
i'd love to learn to play the guitar

What feature films have you worked on?

Have you seen "The Good Shepherd?"
none that you would have heard of, but you can look me up on imdb.com and see some things that qualify to be listed there.

and no, but i want to see it, is it good?

Did you give me my beautiful lilacs?
and perhaps some suspenders...

It's a good movie. It doesn't talk down to you which is a nice feature.

Would you ever consider joining the CIA?

is this week still Jo1's birthday? wasn't it last week?

does having her birthday thing in your profile suspend her birthday in time, because you're just amazing like that?

have you ever felt like time stood still?

have you ever time-travelled?

would you like to?

if you could go back in time, what would you change about your life and why?

what bad habits would you like to rid yourself of the most?

what good habits would you like to acquire?

have you ever played the game "Apples to Apples"?

isn't it fun?

have you played "Mexican Train Dominoes"?

do you like pina coladas?

isn't that in a song?

is this random enough for you?

should i stop now?

Careerbuilder.com did a survey of employers about biggest resume blunders. here are some of them:

Applicant included a picture of herself in a cheerleading uniform.

- Applicant used pale blue paper with teddy bears printed around the border.

- Applicant attached a letter from her mother.

- Applicant specified that his availability was limited because Friday, Saturday and Sunday was "drinking time."

- Applicant explained that he works well nude.

- Applicant explained an arrest by stating, "We stole a pig, but it was a really small pig."

- Applicant drew a picture of a car on the outside of the envelope and said it was the hiring manager's gift.

- Applicant explained a gap in employment by saying it was because he was getting over the death of his cat for three months.

- Applicant listed hobbies that included sitting on a levee at night watching alligators.

- Applicant mentioned the fact that her sister had once won a strawberry-eating contest.

http://jobs.aol.com/article/_a/your-biggest-resume-blunders/20070501153809990004

which one is your favorite?

have you ever seen a strawberry-eating contest? (i think i would be good at it ;) i love strawberries so much!)

how many pigs have you stolen?

what color paper do you put your resumes on? is it blue with teddy bears or pink and scented like in the Legally Blonde movie?

have you ever been cow-tipping? if not, why not?

we have a black and orangish squirrel in our backyard. i don't really understand how he could be these colors because the other squirrels are all gray or black or brownish. do you think he is an alien squirrel? is there such a thing?

do you think he is a spy?

are all the squirrels spying on us? (our yard is covered with squirrels, we live in a woods)

should i be careful what i say?

are the squirrels after me now?

have you seen Patch Adams where the guy is afraid to go to the bathroom because of the squirrels?

ok, end of questioning. you are dismissed.

is this week still Jo1's birthday? wasn't it last week? it was last week. i guess i should edit my siggy eh?

does having her birthday thing in your profile suspend her birthday in time, because you're just amazing like that?
i never thought of that. i put it in there because something was wonky and she couldn't get her birthday to display in her posts. so since that wasn't working i figured i'd at least put it in my sig.

have you ever felt like time stood still?
sometimes. it sure does lag at times anyway.

have you ever time-travelled?
only when talking about the past.

would you like to?
perhaps, i havent really considered it.

if you could go back in time, what would you change about your life and why?
see, i can think of a couple really obvious answers. but by the same token, as horrible as those things were they helped shape me into who i am. so if i would be able to get to where i am without experiencing that pain.... i'd make it so i wasn't raped and get my mom into treatment sooner.

what bad habits would you like to rid yourself of the most?
probably picking at scabs and popping my knuckles.

what good habits would you like to acquire?
going to bed and waking up at earlier times, regular exercise.

have you ever played the game "Apples to Apples"?
nope, never heard of it.

isn't it fun?
i dont know, i guess so.

have you played "Mexican Train Dominoes"?
no, i haven't heard of that one either.

do you like pina coladas?
yes.

isn't that in a song?
and getting caught in the rain.

is this random enough for you?
almost

should i stop now?
never!

blah blah blah wonky etc etc etc

wow, wonky is such a cool word. my viola professor who was British used to say that my playing was "a wee bit wonky" when i was a little "off" i thought it was hilarious.

are you really British too?

are you really Andrew Smith, my old viola professor?

do you use other fun words like that?

do you invent words?

do you know that if you invent a word, and you get published, it can become a real word?

is that motivation enough to become an author/poet?

do you like writing with slashes //////?

doesn't it make me seem more professional/distinguished/proficient/qualified/[insert synonym here]?

how do you [feel] about brackets][][][]?

what's your favorite random symbol?

do you like speaking in symbol?

i think i will finish my questions like this.

is this annoying?

i'm not even sure what i am writing in.

hehehehehehehehe hahahahahha even my laughter is amusing.

ok i am done.

- Applicant listed hobbies that included sitting on a levee at night watching alligators. i love this one!

which one is your favorite?
definitely the alligator one.

have you ever seen a strawberry-eating contest? (i think i would be good at it ;) i love strawberries so much!)
nope, i wasn't aware such things existed, i'd like to try it though hehe.

how many pigs have you stolen?
only a really small one. but i put it back when it pooped on my friend. actually that was just a wild baby pig we caught to see if we could run up and catch it.

what color paper do you put your resumes on? is it blue with teddy bears or pink and scented like in the Legally Blonde movie?
no, i tend to be cheap and use generic white paper. actually, i can't tell you the last time i've printed one out instead of emailing it anyway.

have you ever been cow-tipping? if not, why not?
yes. i've been feinting goat tipping too heh.

we have a black and orangish squirrel in our backyard. i don't really understand how he could be these colors because the other squirrels are all gray or black or brownish. do you think he is an alien squirrel? is there such a thing?
i bet he's a crossbreed between an alien and a squirrel for sure!

do you think he is a spy?
it depends, what does he seem to do in your yard?

are all the squirrels spying on us? (our yard is covered with squirrels, we live in a woods)
i think they're spying for when they can steal your snacks.

should i be careful what i say?
if you think they speak english or you think you speak squirrel.

are the squirrels after me now?
no, i think they just want your snacks. they heard you had nuts.

have you seen Patch Adams where the guy is afraid to go to the bathroom because of the squirrels?
i dont think i have. isnt that a robin williams movie where he's the funny doctor or something?

ok, end of questioning. you are dismissed.
well thank you for the lovely questions. they were very entertaining.

are you really British too?
only in my dreams. i'd love to be british.

are you really Andrew Smith, my old viola professor?
nope, i'm certainly not a male. nor do i know how to play a viola to even profess it to others.

do you use other fun words like that?
i suppose it depends entirely on your choice as to what else gets to be fun like that.

do you invent words?
yes, but not usually nice ones.

do you know that if you invent a word, and you get published, it can become a real word?
i suppose i best start writing.

is that motivation enough to become an author/poet?
well i do some freelance writing of reviews and such, but perhaps i should put more thought into it.

do you like writing with slashes //////?
no, but i am fond of dashes ------

doesn't it make me seem more professional/distinguished/proficient/qualified/[insert synonym here]?
or indecisive that you know nice adjectives and can't decide which to use.

how do you [feel] about brackets][][][]?
sometimes they are very useful

what's your favorite random symbol?
i believe the em dashes.

do you like speaking in symbol? do i like something.... my guess was creativity in symbols but i switched it and see it says speaking in symbol. i've never tried.

i think i will finish my questions like this.
i think i will ??? ?? ??? like this. ah finish your questions. yes, i see that.

is this annoying?
that last one looks like annoying and so I'm guessing you're asking if the symbols are. Yup, translated it by changing the font. no, it's amusing.

i'm not even sure what i am writing in.
something about what i am writing in. i dont know.

hehehehehehehehe hahahahahha even my laughter is amusing.
laugh away. ok i am done. Ok I am done. That one I can read. Funny how some of the words look similar enough. I'm glad I figured it was just a goofy font instead of another language!

isnt that a robin williams movie where he's the funny doctor or something?

yes. but it's actually a drama, and in the beginning robin williams is in a mental hospital and his roommate has hallucinations of squirrels that are after him. it's a good movie, i recommend it.

well thank you for the lovely questions. they were very entertaining.

you're welcome!

now i have to think of more....

well, ok i'm cheating again.

i did a search for "scintillating questions."

and i found "such clever, scintillating questions as: 'Suppose you were a woman-Your boyfriend wants you to hitchhike across Europe with him. Your main worry is: a) he'll see you at your worst. b) you're not ready to get that close c) he might sell you in Morocco.' "

Who, while cooking soup and wanting a soft-boiled egg, invented the idea of putting the egg in the soup in order to save on washing-up?

What is the origin of the saying "He is as thick as two short planks"?

The emperor Nero compelled all Roman house owners to erect a porch over their front doors that a man could stand on. What was the idea behind this?

ok, that's it for now....

well, ok i'm cheating again.
i think the only rule is to ask questions, i dont think you can't find sources for those questions other than your mind....

i did a search for "scintillating questions."
i bet it was an interesting search.

and i found "such clever, scintillating questions as: 'Suppose you were a woman-Your boyfriend wants you to hitchhike across Europe with him. Your main worry is: a) he'll see you at your worst. b) you're not ready to get that close c) he might sell you in Morocco.' "
i think it is D) who is this stranger trying to convince me he's my boyfriend?

Who, while cooking soup and wanting a soft-boiled egg, invented the idea of putting the egg in the soup in order to save on washing-up?
someone who dropped the egg in their soup and gave it a name to laugh it off as being intentional.

What is the origin of the saying "He is as thick as two short planks"?
someone who spent a lot of time with plants?

The emperor Nero compelled all Roman house owners to erect a porch over their front doors that a man could stand on. What was the idea behind this?
obviously to allow for someone to stand above their front doors!

ok, that's it for now....
hehe ok, sleep well!

Would you agree that Spider-Man III sucked?
Nope. It was HIlarious. I laughed pretty much the entire time. Probably wasn't supposed to, but I loved it. It certainly was no Spidey 1 or 2, but I still enjoyed it a great deal.

where are you MQTA? Are you on your big road trip?

I'm on the west coast of Florida. Heading towards Pensacola tomorrow, then Atlanta, Greenville, Raleigh, WashDC, and back to NY... should take 8-10 days to get home... all depends on the people along the way.
