Who's fault is that?

textbook publishers -- The more info they can stuff into a book, the more school districts they can sell the books too. That's why our children are hauling around books with 800+ pages, most of which will never get covered in a class anyway.

As in so many other businesses, quality tends to take a back seat to quantity.

I don't remember.

Then could it be that you're mistaken?

Haeckel's drawings being included in textbooks outside of the context of making a historical point is clearly inaccurate. The textbooks being flawed doesn't make the science flawed, complain to the publishers not science.

My point exactly.

considering that Creationism is demonstrable false, those advocating it are either spreading falsehoods, or are simply ignorant of the facts

Hi, Technique ---

Go through these threads and see how many people ask for either proof, or evidence, or both.

If Creationism is "demonstrably false", why are people asking for evidence?

Creationism holds that the earth is less than 7000 years old (or less than 12,000, depends).

The earth, however, is demonstrably much older than this, on the order of 4.5 billion years.

Therefore, Creationism is false.

What if God embedded age into His creation? Would that be an accurate conclusion, then?

I don't believe in this and I would never believe this.

I understand, Richard; but my question was, "What if..."

Again, if age was embedded in the Creation, would that render Reality Check's conclusion false?

No, because it requires us to believe that God embedded deception into the earth.

If age was embedded for a good reason know only to God, would that render your conclusion false?

No, because you'd still come to the conclusion that God purposely is deceiving us.

If He embedded age, and said He did, would that render your conclusion false?

You'd still have to prove that God actuall said such a thing, as opposed to you or some other person.

If God embedded age into the world, and proved it to everyone, would that render your conclusion false?
