1) left side of the hand
2) right side of the hand ?

I have no idea, but my guess (just a guess LOL) is that it's just fashion and has no meaning. Maybe the ring itself could have meaning (passed down from generations) and they just choose to wear them on their middle finger or something. I think it's totally random. I could be wrong though!

It depends. Does she wear the ring often? I agree with Rhodo, it could be a momento passed down in her family if she wears it often. Or, it could mean she is attached or that she wasn't able to find a ring that fit her index finger, but the ring wasn't small enough to fit her ring finger....

Why don't you ask her the significance and find out?

If I see a pretty ring, I wear it. I have an opal heart on my ring finger, but I am far from taken LoL. It just looks best there. And I have a gold ring around my thumb.

Usually it means someone gave her a ring (that's not an engagement ring) or she bought a ring that only fits on that finger, or that fits the best on that finger. If you want to know if it was a gift from a significant other, you could always compliment her on it. If you say "That's a pretty ring" she'll most likely answer with "thanks my ____ gave it to me, or "Thanks I got it at ______". And if not, just ask her where she got it.

Just a normal ring. No diamond. No decoration. Nothing special. Don't know what to talk about it. Calling it pretty seems weird.
