  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There were times I loved it and times it was uncomfortable...I voted sometimes. With my last pregnancy, I was on bed rest for 2 months and that was not fun...but it was also the only pregnancy where I felt more connected with him before he was born.

I said sometimes. I don't like having less energy and less patience, particularly for the child(ren) already here. I don't like being extremely uncomfortable for the last 4-8 weeks. It would be nice if I could not do it next time, and just have the baby appear when its time.... but I just try to be greatful and happy that I am able to get pregnant and give birth since that too is a gift. Its a lot of work though! I better get used to it, we're not done yet.

I loved being pregnant with both of my pregnancies(can't wait to feel that again!!!) I always felt so healthy and whole! I did get uncomfortable near the end but still loved that whole maternal feeling.(And as a card carring member of the IBTC, I loved having boobs finally, even just for a little while!)

I really dont enjoy it. i sleep sooo much and i just feel so blah. i feel like i do less and less everyday...i cant wait for this baby to be born. I do enjoy feeling the baby move inside me but thats it. and i love the breastfeeding. But i dont like the labor/delievery.

Exactly what the title says.

Also, I'm not talking about enjoying being physically pregnant, not enjoying the anticipation of your child.

I'm confused with all the "nots" in this sentence. Please forgive me for not understanding.

are you saying we did not enjoy the anticipation of our child? right?

The first 8 weeks were okay, then morning sickness hit. The second trimester I generally felt good and enjoyed being pregnant. Then about 8 months the beached whale stage hit and I hated it. I hated having to get up every 2 hours at night to pee. I hated when the baby would stretch and hurt my ribs or cervix. I hated being too big to fit in the bathtub and soak.

I loved being pregnant! I didn't always feel great, but I loved knowing that that there was a little baby growing inside me, loved feeling it kick and get the hiccups, imagine what it was going to look like, etc. I swear, pregnancy hormones just do something to me, because the world just looks beautiful, the birds are singing, and I see rainbows and sunshine... I'm on cloud nine :)

:sorry: I fixed that.

 What is the IBTC?

I loathe & abhore being pregnant. Nine months of nausea/vomiting/lack of energy/& parading round like a galleon under full sail is NOT my idea of a fun time. On the other hand I enjoy labour. Yes, I know that's strange but for me it's a bit like surfing. Catch your wave & ride it into the beach ~ with the added bonus of a prize at the end. :D
^_^ That is me. I was wondering if I was weird. I would gladly skip the whole pregnancy thing and go straight to labor. Now, I didn't enjoy labor but atleast I knew it was going to be over soon.:p

Sometimes. The first 10 weeks were not fun (nausea pretty much kills the happy feelings), but the second trimester thus far has been pretty good. I might just take maternity leave at eight months and be done with it.
The maternal "mommy" feelings, going through new baby stuff, daydreaming about introducing my little one to his/her family. Those are the times I enjoy being pregnant very much.

There were times that I enjoyed the feelings of movement inside me (probably more because of the anticipation you mentioned, OP). But I had complications with my pregnancies, and pretty bad morning sickness. So for the most part, I didn't physically enjoy pregnancy. I voted "sometimes".

Otoh, I have very short labors, so at least the end of the pregnancy was quick, lol!
