Pats, your inbox is full. Can't pm you.

 Fixed. :) Here's a general announcement for my friends. I have tried to make a couple blog entries to let every one know that I am now through the eye of the storm :)

Also, I no longer have internet at home. I am moving, again, in two weeks. :sigh: But, it's a good thing. ;)

I will only have internet access at work the work library for the next two weeks, and I sincerely doubt I'll be able to IM during this time. I might get a chance at new room mates house if she let's me move my computer over there early. We'll see.

My time on CF may be inconstant, if it ever was consistant, lol. :holy:

Am I the only one fascinated by the Coriolis effect?

Have you visited the dunny in our hemisphere, Prax? I've never been to yours. Will have to test it out when I get there some day. ;)

I don't know quite how to break this to you, Pats my sweet. The coriolis effect is not strong enough to affect water on this planet - it's an urban myth. Local effects, such as water movement and the shape of the vessel containing the liquid have a much greater impact, effectively cancelling out the coriolis effect.

Wow...our weather looks quite similar for opposite sides of the seasons. Must be that Mediterranean climate thingy in action.

Prax! Welcome back! Hows the tour?
Heya ravs! And thanks, although strictly speaking I'm not really back. Just poking my nose in.

Tour is going well, although we've had some very small audiences which is quite disappointing. I think that the publicity machine has let us down a bit.

Those that do show up are having a smashing time though.

What's happening in la vie de ravs?

Must be. :) It's that equinoxical time of year.

Things are not so good here, though. The drought is worsening, and last week we had bushfires in the city. Luckily no-one's home was lost, but outbuildings were destroyed.

And in October. October!

Main thing going on my life right now is that my kids hate marching band. They're burnt out on practices. Fortunately the competition season started last weekend. I hope bus trips and trophies soothe their ruffled souls until the season is over.

And if they sign up to do it again next year, I'll demand iron-clad, signed-in-blood contracts specifying NO MOANING and GROANING.

We're just a few days away from the 15th anniversary of the Oakland Hills Fire. This is high fire season for us. An unusual number of acres have burned in wildfires across the state, but so far very little developed property damage. *crosses fingers*

So I have a blog and saw this voice comment thing. Nightson left me a message, go hear it!
Hey Toe, I tried. I tried and failed.

The automated voice told me that my caller ID was blocked. I have no idea what that might be; perhaps because I'm an international caller.

And my, you do have a cutesy little girl voice! :)

Marching band season? Gosh, whatever next?

No moaning and groaning, eh? *chortle* This from the mother of adolescents. *guffaw*

I either having typing tourrettes or I'm channeling Zippy.
If you have typing tourrettes, it's quite a boring version. I like the swearing ones, although the automatic censor would render your posts meaningless. Which would be sad.
