CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what is "spirit"?
you mean Ouija board? did you know that the name for this is a French/German combination of two "yes" terms?
nevertheless, Ouija boards are produced by Parker Brothers (iirc) game company. they are not mystical or majikal devices.

My sister and I had a Ouija board when we were kids. It never did a damn thing. The only time that pointer would move is if our hands started cramping from being kept in one position.
I know this is also just my personal opinion, but the more I know about life, the more I'm convinced that what you see is what you get. I don't believe in gods, souls, spirits, ghosts, angels, demons, heaven, hell, afterlife, reincarnation, ESP, psychic phenomena, alien abductions, Bigfoot, the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster, black helicopters, John Doe #2, or a second gunman on the grassy knoll. Among other things.

I believe in the presence of spirits...or manifestations of chi...or whatever you want to call them. I do not believe in traditional deity, but rather that deities are the manifestation of human belief. So, citing Ouija boards (which are questionable anyway) as proof of deity is kinda null and void. Not that Ouija boards are even proof of spirits.

I used a Ouija board last week to ascertain what my ghost's name was. She was Scandanavian so I asked her what she wanted to be called and she spelled out "April". So, I have a ghost named April. She's alot of fun.
Oh, anyway, I just wanted to throw that in there. I'm Agnostic, so I won't say with absolute certainty there is no god. I know for a fact there is no god the way Christians portray. I see/feel evidence of spirits almost daily. I see/feel no evidence to substantiate the claim that the god of Judeo-Christianity is the creator and ruler of all mankind and is the one true god.

well...theology is just a theory. there's no proof that evolution is real. even historical records say that Jesus was real and that he really performed the miracles, especially his resurrection.

Did you re-read this statement BEFORE you posted it? You stated that Evolution is a "fact" and that it is a "theory" in the same sentence!, IN FACT, it is a "Theory"! Evolution has NEVER been proven my friend!
