  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

you research tv shows??
tell me about your job.
No, I work on movies, TV shows, and commercials. So when I watch tv, I jokingly call it "research" and I just discovered that working in my industry I can claim the purchase of movie tickets on my taxes as research too.

I hadn't thought of that before, but I don't think it is a bad idea.

What do you think ChaosChristian started to ask you before he changed his mind?
I think he asked his question. However, if he was going to post a question to edit out to ask his question he did ask, I think he would have asked me what color my eyes think make the best for a Beta fish.

Do you think too much?
Rarely.

What about Cat? Does she think too much?
Yes, but she has a lot to think about. Like catnaps and catnip.

When do you think we will be able to see you again Big Toe?

- SMH
Dr SMH Jr, I think whenever you invite me over will work. That or if you ever come up this-a-way.

Did you notice that LibertyChic didn't notice the question? ;)

 LibertyChic!
Yes, I did notice, but I think you just cued her into what the question was.

Did you know that CC was as sneaky as he is?

ChaosChristian!
Yes, I knew he was sneaky. Very sneaky that one.

Anything special for the weekend?
For once I can answer this with a yes haha. The Austin City Limits Music Festival is this weekend and I was smart enough to buy tickets when they first went on sale. I think that means it was 80 bucks a pop then. Now a single day ticket is 63 bucks a day or a three day pass is 130. I got two three day passes, so I am set. That means I will be seeing Ray LaMontagne and Van Morrison on Friday, Aimee Mann, Iron and Wine and String Cheese Incident on Saturday and Flaming Lips and Tom Petty on Sunday.

Hey Big Toe,

Guess what...

- Dr. SMH Jr.
You grew your Jr over here too.

were you in TX when Ann was governor? what do you think of her as a political leader?
I was really too young to have noticed much. However, looking back at things she did while in office, I am quite impressed. If nothing else, she opened the door of politics to a world of people that it had been closed to previously. But I have always lived in Texas save for the year I lived in California to go to Pepperdine before I realized I hated LA.
