After looking up the definition of resist referring to temptation. I know what does it means to resist temptation. Meaning to be or stay strong or overcome temptation. If you get into temptation and you're not trying to resist temptation while being tempted at the same time you may give in to temptation to sin. Resisting temptation can be difficult especially if you don't know how to resist it.
Also, if you're feeling stressed you may get tempted and give in to temptation so you must do things to help decrease your stress in order to resist temptation. Try to do things that helped you get distracted from temptation. Like going for a walk, going to church, playing video games, etc.
Tip: If you want to resist temptation it's recommended and wise to pray to God to give you strength to overcome temptation so that you don't give in to temptation.
