We all have grown up with the media creating idols of celebrities , sports people,actors etc . Why did the Bible teach people not too ? Because a idol gives people a excuse not to look at themselves and come up higher. No where is this more apparent than the office of the president of the United States . Where the media has turned the president into a idol " The most powerful man in the world " and the people have bought into it. The Founding Fathers never intended the president to have more powers than congress they wanted checks and balances .Why cause having only one man in power is easier to corrupt , control for the elites behind the curtains pulling the strings than trying to control a entire congress. You have people consumed by every word that comes out of the mouth of these politicians , people in tears when their candidate doesn't win ? Politicians that have been in office for 37 years ? thats not democracy thats a monarchy . So you have ego manics consumed with staying in power than running the government now and you have constant gridlock and nothing gets done. When We the People should all be coming up higher to a better form of government now Direct Democracy through the miracle of the Internet that has made all the politicians out dated like a Block Buster video card in your wallet . Where we vote on issues that concern our lives and our country . First one term limits for politicians so you get fresh ideas , people concerned with issues not consumed by their own power.
