Holy Scripture:
John 1:1(1) In the beginning was the Word, and (2) the Word was with God, and (3) the Word was God.
John 1:14 And (4) the Word became flesh and (5) the Worddwelt among us, [and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father], (6) the Word wasfull of grace and truth.
John 1:18(7) No one has seen God at any time. (8) The only begotten Son, [who is in the bosom of the Father], He has declared Him.
Personal Understanding:
Eight Individual Truths:
(1) He who is Jesus before He was named Jesus is eternal. He existed before the Creation of the universe in timelessness. He is the “and God said” in Gen 1 (the fact of existence)
(2) He who is Jesus before He was named Jesus stands face to face with God in a continuous, united, intimate, equal relationship (the law of existence).
(3) He who is Jesus before He was named Jesus is one of the three beings of the Godhead. God (the Father) Jesus (the Son), along with the Holy Spirit, are the One God in both essence and nature (the nature of existence).
(4) He who is Jesus before He was named Jesus was born a man (a new form of the same eternal existence)
(5) Jesus, the man, lived here on the earth for a very short time, temporarily.
(6) Jesus, the man, reveals God to man and loves man despite his shortcomings.
(7) It was He who is Jesus before He was named Jesus that the OT people physically saw when they spoke of God.
(8) Jesus, the one and only Son of God, the completely uniquely created man (no human father), visibly brings forth God, whom no man has ever seen, with all the authority of God Himself…as God Himself “in the flesh”.

Other Notes:
The Trinity (alluded to in truth #3):
(1) The three ways God reveals Himself to man
(a) The Creator of the Universe
(b) God as the perfect man and our personal Saviour
(c) The Spirit of God within each of us.
(2) The three relationships between God and man.
(3) 1 x 1 x 1 = 1 not 1 + 1 + 1 = 3
[1] “A” word: two distinct purposes: a) gives expression to the inner thought and nature, the soul of a man. b) reveals this nature to others. “THE” Word: Christ is the Word of God in both respects: He expresses the mind of God and He reveals God to man.
