"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 AMPC)
Timidity about the truth and everything that is right and just, is not from our God. It is the devil that uses this weapon to keep a child of God at a spot in his walk with God. Fear has always been a tool in devil's hands to make us do a lot of things in life without hearing properly from God. He makes us to act in fear knowing fully well that everything that is done outside faith is sin. Unfortunately, he also hides the truth concerning his activities from us. When we act in fear, he labels it taking responsibility rather than what it is, acting without faith: which is a sin against the Almighty. When Abraham and Sarah agreed to engage alternative means to their childlessness, they were acting in fear. This was contrary to the promise of God for them. The enemy wants us to become impatient and obey our fears. Fear is never from the Father of light.
ACTION PLAN: Let us check our lives daily before taking decisions. We must be careful not take decisions based on our fears.
PRAYER: Father, take away fear from my life. Let faith in you be firmly planted in my heart.
