You did not get married just to be happy. You did not get married just to have sex. You did not get married just to have children. You got married to become a dangerous weapon in the hands of God. Your husband and wife together, a weapon for God. There is a purpose for your marriage. One of the things that happen is that woman you're married to will flush the devil out of you so fast, that he will be running in every direction. And that husband of yours will bring out everything that's in you. If you got any witch in you, it will come out! He'll bring it right out of there!
So, if she's in there hiding, then he will bring it out. If your husband does not do that because he is so godly and beautiful and Christ-like, then the mother-in-law will get involved, and she will bring it out. But God will bring somebody to push the devil out. It's like going dove hunting or quail hunting. You got your gun and you got your dog. The dog is the ugly and difficult person, and they flush it out of you, and then your gun is revelation.
Revelation gives you the power to overcome your situation. That's what you want in life. You want to overcome everything. Then when you see people, you no longer see them as a threat. You see them as a blessing. As soon as God wants to promote you, He brings a person into your life to provoke you by your reaction to the person that's in your life. If you react negatively, you're
demoted; if you act positively, you're promoted. Anytime you fail to respond properly, you've got to go through the test again. There is no graduating by grace. You either learn the material, or you redo the test.
#2 The purpose of ugly and difficult people is to reveal to you the power of God's love in you. You cannot do what I'm saying. There are people that God is going to bring into your life, on purpose, that you will not be able to love. There's a bunch of people you can love with your own human love... God's love is capable of loving people that are not lovable. They have nothing worthy in them to be loved. To build a glorious church, we have to have people who walk in divine supernatural love, not in human, frail, limited love.
Human love always ends. It's selfish; it's possessive; it's controlling; it's self-centered; it's greedy; it's selfish. But the love of God, that is unconditional and it does not require any behavior on the other person's part to love that person. Human love demands performance and demands results before it will continue loving. If you treat me nice, I will treat you nice. If you treat me bad, I will kill you!" (That's human love.)
But that's not what is needed to build a church that cannot be destroyed, or a family that cannot be destroyed. We need the supernatural love of God.
...Just remember that there is a love God wants to show you that you don't have humanly. It's divine. It only comes from an intimate relationship with God. If you're not on your knees everyday, filling yourself with the presence of God; filling yourself with the Word of God, which is the source that the love of God flows through. That's Word, put in your mind, meditated on, which transforms it to your spirit and then spoken out and practiced, turns into the love of God.
God hides His love within His Word, and after you get His Word in your head and in your heart, it transfers into action. Once it becomes action, it becomes a habit, and once it becomes a habit, it becomes who you are, your lifestyle, and then you have become Christ-like.
So the purpose then of ugly and difficult people #2 is to face all the areas of your life where you can be offended...
He that offends you, controls you. Woever has the power to offend you, they will control you. As long as they can make you mad, they can manipulate you. They're your master; not the Holy Spirit... The person offending you becomes your master, because you're thinking of them day and night. You're hating them all day; you're resenting them all day. You're mad at them all day. You're making decisions based on them, not the Holy Spirit. You say, "I'm never going to the church again, as long as those hypocrites are there.
You just made a choice to isolate and separate, and now the devil is gonna completely devour you.
Never let a person determine your future. Make a decision based on the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that He tells you to do. Do it
regardless of your feelings, and you will end up in the right place. Because the job of the person is to make you see them and not God."
