As Jesus hung on the Cross, a fountain opened deep and wide. A fountain for cleansing and sanctification. Nothing else can wash away our sin, nothing else can set us free from the shackles of Satan and worldliness. The blood of Jesus provided a level playing ground for everyone that wants to return to God.
After drinking from this same fountain, it ought to become rivers of living water in our belly. Due to the damage these rivers will cause the devil and his kingdom, he makes every effort to contaminate them. He seeks every opportunity to render the springs of water in our lives useless. This calls for a labour on our part to ensure that our inner life remain pure all the time; devoid of bitterness and corruption.
The people of God should be able to drink pure water from our lives.
ACTION PLAN: Guide your heart with all diligence, do not allow root of bitterness to spring forth from your life.
PRAYER: Father, cleanse me of every contamination that has come upon my inner man.
