Taking the time to really look at yourself honestly and how you behave, destroying yourself to rebuild yourself is probably one of the hardest and most rewarding things you get to do in your life. Not that it's actually you doing it but still being able to witness real changes and subtleties over time. Seeing who you were being reflected and struggling in someone else, being able to understand how it feels to watch that torment and know there is nothing you can do or say but wait and know they will be okay. Understanding that you have to go there in order to come back. That is powerful stuff.
