  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Staying Connected to the Source of Light

"[6] Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts." (Zech 4:6 AMPC)

In a world filled with darkness, we need a constant source of light to guide us. Jesus is the Olive Tree, and when we remain connected to Him, we experience a ceaseless flow of the Holy Spirit. This divine connection keeps our lamp ever burning, and our light shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.

Just as branches need to stay attached to the tree to receive nourishment, we need to stay connected to Jesus to receive the life-giving power of the Holy Spirit. When we're plugged into Him, we can shine His light in a world that desperately needs it.

Let's prioritize our connection with Jesus, allowing His Spirit to flow through us and illuminate our path. As we stay connected, our light will shine brighter, reflecting His glory and pointing others to Him.

Stay connected to the Vine, and let your light shine! #JesusIsTheOliveTree #HolySpirit #LightInTheDarkness
