Spiritually Saved

One of the most damaging things which occurs in man's buildings today is the so called, Altar call. Come up here and be saved. What is wrong with this? Everything when compared to what the apostle Paul , the apostle to the Gentiles taught. It was appointed the apostle to the Gentiles by Jesus Christ on His way to Damascus to kill more Jews.He is the one then whose writings should be adbeared to and not the Jewish writings which Jesus Christ taught the Jews. Jesus said: I have other sheep which are not of this fold, they I must also bring into the fold. He was taking about the Gentiles.

Now if Jesus was saying that He had to bring in the other flock into the sheep fold, He did not do it when He was still in Judeah. What did He tell His disciples about the Gentiles?

Mat 10:5-7 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter You: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as You, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus never went to the Gentiles during His earthly ministry. Why? Because He said \He had come unto the lost sheep of the house if Israel not the Gentiles. That is why He told His disciples not to go to Them, They were to be preached to by Paul. Here is where gross error has crept into the teachings of the scriptures today. Men take what was written to Israel, for Israel, and try to apply it to themselves today in place of what the apostle Paul taught to the Gentiles. The disciples preached of the kingdom of heaven, Paul preached of the kingdom of God. There is a vast difference between the two. That is another subject however and will not be entered into here.

So with Denominations teachings a mixed doctrine of false teachings of the scriptures, how can any be spiritually saved by such doctrine? They can not. It is only by the intervention of the Spirit of God upon one who is chosen to be God's elect that spiritual salvation occurs.

Rom_10:12-13 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The word name is authority. Whoever calls upon the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. Does this mean that all one has to do is say; Jesus, save me? No. It means that one must have true belief in Him as the Lord and accept His as the Lord. To accomplish this one must study to know this in his own mind. Can a man belief in something that he does not know of or understand?

Enough has been said here to make the reader aware that this is not a simple use of words that brings spiritual salvation as is taught so much today.
