Is Jesus God?

There are so many arguments as to who Jesus really was; that is, was He God or not? This writing will give all the scriptural facts pertaining to this subject. The reader will have to make their own decision after reading this article.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of those who are called, or will be called, into the Body of Christ. Thanks be to God!

IS JESUS GOD

This is an argument that seems to have prevailed over a very long period of time. As man generated Denominations various views on this subject, it has caused division among today's Christians. This reminds me of the old argument that kids used to have: My daddy is stronger than you daddy!

I will now take a systematic approach to argument and let the reader decide for themselves how they views this writing. I began, and end, with Bible scripture.

Mat_6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light. But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Mat_10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak you in light: and what you hear in the ear, thatpreach ye upon the housetops.

In verse 6:22 above it is seen that the word eye is being used as a figure of speech. It really read as follows: The light of the body is the mind, if therefore our mind be focused, your who body shall be full of spiritual light. But if the mind be evil, your whole body shall be full of evilness. If therefore the spiritual evilness that is in you darkness, how great is that spiritual darkness.

It is necessary here to make a jump all the way back to Genesis 1:1.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light
That it was good
And God divided the light from the darkness

And God called the light Day
And the darkness he called Night
And the evening (1)
And the morning (2)
Were the first day

Notice that the darkness was first. For darkness was upon the face of the deep, the abyss. This is the place of Satan's abode. God brought forth this light, Jesus Christ, to recover His people from their falling into sinfulness. This of course is a very brief description of really happened.

John_8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John_9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John_12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.

Here also is the clue of what Genesis is truly about. Jesus was the light of Genesis 1:1.

John_8:38 I speak that which I have seen with My Father: and you do that which you have seen with your father.

Math_8:20 And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; butthe Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Luke 9:21-22 And he straightly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Num_23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: has He said, and shall he not do it? or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

Eze_2:3 And He said unto me, Son of man, I send You to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me: they and Their fathers have transgressed against Me, even unto this very day.

Eze 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give You. Then did I eat it; and it was in My mouth as honey for sweetness.

Eze 3:4-6 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get You unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them. For You are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, butto the house of Israel; Not to many people of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent You to Them, they would have hearkened unto You.

Eze 3:7-9 But the house of Israel will not listen to You; for They will not hearken unto Me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted. Behold, I have made Your mind (face strong) against their minds, and Your forehead strong against their foreheads. As an adamant harder than flint have I made Your forehead: fear Them not, neither be dismayed at Their looks, though They be a rebellious house.

Eze 3:10-11 Moreover He said unto Me, Son of man, all My words that I shall speak unto You receive in Your heart, and hear with Your ears. And go, get You to Them of the captivity, unto the children of Your people, and speak unto Them, and tell Them, Thus says the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

Eze 3:12-14 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind Me a voice of a great rushing, saying,Blessed be the glory of the LORD (Jehovah) from His place. I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing. So the Spirit lifted Me up, and took Me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of My spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon Me.

Eze 3:15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib (= a heap of new grain), that dwelt by the river of Chebar (= forceof strength), and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

A Watchman for Israel

Eze 3:16-17 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto Me, saying, Son of man, I have made You a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at My mouth, and give Them warning from Me.

Eze 3:18-19 When I say unto the wicked, You shall surely die; and You give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at Your hand. Yet if You warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but You have delivered Your soul.

Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because You have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

NOTE: He will die in his sin; He will cease to sin any longer and shall be forgiven.

Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if You warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also You have delivered Your soul.

Eze 3:22-25 And the hand of the LORD (Jehovah) was there upon Me; and He said unto Me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with You.

Eze 3:23-26 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD (Jehovah)stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on My face. Then the Spirit entered into Me, and set Me upon My feet, and spake with Me, and said unto Me, Go, shut yourself within Your house.

But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon You, and shall bind You with Them, and You shall not go out among Them: And I will make Your tongue cleave to the roof of Your mouth, that You shall be dumb, and shall not be to Them a reprover: for They are a rebellious house.

Eze 3:27 But when I speak with You, I will open Your mouth, and You shall say unto Them, Thus says the Lord GOD (Jehovah Elohim); He that hears, let him hear; and he that forbears, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

John 17:12-14 While I was with them in the world, I kept Them in Your name: those that You gave Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to You; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have My joy fulfilled in Themselves. I have given Them Your word; and the world has hated Them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Joh 20:17 Jesus said unto Her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto Them, I ascend unto My Father, and Your Father; and to My God, and Your God.

The above writing should clarify who Jesus really was; He was not God, He was the son of God, The Son of Man, Adam. Read about Abel and then consider the Lord’s death and why He died!
