Some Point to Scriptures Like These To Say That Jesus is Not God

Some Point to Scriptures Like These To Say That Jesus is Not God

“And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.” Luke 18:18-19

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
Mark 13:32

“My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one.”
John 10:29-30

Jesus acknowledges the superlative greatness of the Father. All that He saw or heard in the Spirit came from the Father. The Son proceeds from the Father who is greater in position, not substance.

Jesus and the Father are one throughout eternity. He is the express image of the Father, who was sent forth to declare Him.

“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;”
Heb 10:12

Some state that by saying “this man”, it ends all dispute about who Jesus was
. Also, that to sit at the right hand of God means that He is not God.

He is the Word of God, given to us as the Son of God. He comes forth from the Father and was given to us as the “Son of Man”.

Some Choose to Interpret Passages Like These To Mean that Jesus was not Divine

“For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.” Romans 5:15 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
Tim 2:5-6

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John:”
Rev 1:1

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:19

Jesus acknowledged that all of God’s goodness proceeded from Him. He gave all of the glory to His Father.
