  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Prayers That God Does Not Hear

prayers that god does not hear.jpg

“We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.” John 9:31 (NASB)

Those who harbor in their heart a love for activities that are contrary to God’s will have separated themselves from God. There is no connection. Their prayers drift away in the wind.

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” Psalm 66:18 (NASB)

To be heard by God, we have to pray with a pure heart. Our goal in that connection should be to seek righteousness, not personal gain.

“The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.” Proverbs 15:29 (NASB)

Those who have turned their backs on God may increase their distance from him by rejecting the teachings of the Bible. God has absolutely no time for prayers from these people.

“He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” Proverbs 28:9 (NASB)

The wisdom of God is unavailable to those who reject him. God is only available to those who are responding to him with love in their heart.

“They will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but they will not find me, because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord.” Proverbs 1:28-29 (NASB)

The first step in making a connection with God is to believe that he exists. Those who are in rebellion against the existence of God are disconnected – their prayers will not be heard.

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NASB)

When we look at all of this, it almost seems impossible for the unbeliever to make a connection with God, and of course that is not the case. Unbelievers who seek God with a sincere heart will, without question, find him.

“I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me.” Proverbs 8:17 (NASB)
