Why is it so hard to take time to pray? I think I have mentioned before and if not I'll do it now. For many years I've had a longing and a dream to get out of bed a while before I acutally have to get up and use that time to start the day off by praying.
I don't understand why it is so hard to make that a real thing. Or maybe it's just me making it hard, when I think about it I want to pray for an hour before I start my day. On the other hand I know that I can't start off with an hour, I have to take say 10 minutes and work my way up to a full hour. Reason I know I can't start with an hour to begin with is that I'm very very tired in the morning and I think it's easier to fail if the goal is to extreme at first.
This easter weekend I read in a paper about a Global Day of Prayers and I think it's an awesome thing. I'm gonna talk to my pastor about it and see if we are doing anything that day. If not maybe the church could be open and the ones who wants to could come and pray.
1 Tim 2:1-4
"First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, even for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. Such prayer for all is good and welcomed before God our Savior, since he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
I know that everyone don't like the primeminister or the president in their country. But it doesn't say that you have to agree with what he/she says and do politically. But it does say that we shall love our neighbours (Matthew 22:36-40) and pray for our leaders.
I shall pray and try to make my dream into a reality.
