  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our Great Lord

Our Great Lord.jpg

Look at your hand. Watch your fingers move. Think of all the things you can do with your hands. This is only one small part of your Creator’s awesome accomplishments. Our great Lord’s work is on display throughout our bodies, in all of nature, and across the universe. There is far more to God than we will ever be able to comprehend.

“Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:3 (NASB)

All the stars in the sky were individually created by God. Every human being that walked the earth was created by God, known by God, understood by God. Nothing is beyond the capacity of our great Lord.

“Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5 (NASB)

God hears our prayers. We can rely on God. Our great Lord will never stumble, forget, or misunderstand. All his ways are perfect. We can be absolutely certain that he will be where he is needed at precisely the right time.

“But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of your lovingkindness answer me with Your saving truth.” Psalm 69:13 (NASB)

Our Great Lord, in his mercy, has provided us with eternal salvation through our Savior Jesus Christ. We have been given a new birth, a new identity, and a new relationship with God. As a result, we live with an assured hope – certain of our future.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NASB)

Great is our Lord. Those who know Him are greatly blessed. Our praise is never ending.

Amen!
