I recently climbed to the top of a mountain near where I live, and this is the poem I wrote at the top!
On Top Of The Mountain
Psa 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness
Such a strong presence there for me to
try
Even though the peaks were mighty
high
The path was so steep; the way was sure
rough
But at the top of it was surely worth it
enough.
To trust and obey within Mighty Jesus'
care
Even in the dark where we ask if Gods
there
The soul of His Creation tells trials and
tensions
To meet at the top where His name nature
mentions.
To see the water sparkle and experience
it's chance
Despite things below that blight all
circumstance
In the sun way up high I could feel His
sweet peace
At the top is where my human troubles
cease.
Such a wonderful joy and a matter of
fact
His wonderful works still show God as
intact
The destiny reached as I stand in the
sky
For while at the top I looked in God's
eye.
Psa 111:4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
