No, not another all-nighter..:o I pretty much have to go to bed once I've finished typing this.
Although, since this is my first blog, perhaps introductions are in order..
Hi!
I'm BreadAlone. Good to meet you.
Right, now that we've gotten that out of the way..
lol, seriously. I'm 16, I attend Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee. I'm a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (and yet, despite WELS fellowship doctrine, I'd be happy to pray with you if you, ya know, are not a member of the One True WELS.) My congregation is St. James, umm, I teach Sunday School. (We call it CLICK: Children Living In Christ the King. Thanks to PreachersWife2004 for the awesome name. Yup, the name for my Sunday School class came from a CF Admin. Pretty sweet.)
ANyways, enough of all that bologna. You'll learn quite enough about me in the blogs ahead, I'm sure.
So back to the all-nighter. Last night, I was up till 3 AM! And on a school night! Turns out, I had a Poster project due for Modern History today..and I also had the 1st draft of a six page Research Paper due for American Literature today. So yeah, I was up till three working on the paper. I got the poster done around 8 PM, and I finally got my act in gear around 11 to write the paper. If I would've written straight through, I may have gotten done quicker..but CF was right there in a minimized window..and you can imagine how that story goes.
So, for a little background, I've had both of these projects assigned for about a month..and by yesterday I hadn't, for all intents and purposes, started either of them.. I'm a serious procrastinator. So yeah..that's why I was up till three. (In my defense, I almost always get an A+ on my procrastinated projects; I seem to work better under pressure. As a matter of fact, my last paper for American Lit. was so good that not only was it a 100% A+, but Mr. Tatge actually wrote "May I please have a copy of this?" on the paper so he could have a personal copy.)
So we're at me up to 3 AM at this point..and school starts typically at 7:45. Yet God looked upon my self-inflicted condition and granted me some relief; today was a late start day. This means school did not start until 8:30 AM, due to a faculty meeting before school. So I got up at 6 and did my usual shower and hygenical routine..but I got to go back to bed for an extra 1 1/2 hours. Boy was that AMAZing!!
One last thing I want to note. Depending on who you are, you may or may not know that my Dad has just recently come out of a pretty serious back surgery. (An L3-L5 fusion with the removal of a degenerative disk, or something like that..) He's been in the hospital since last Monday (the day of the surgery.) and is in the rehab wing right now. We don't know how long he will be there, nor how fast his recovery will take once he's out (he also has to go back in for a follow-up surgery, because the doctor could not get one of the disks screwed into my Dad's pelvis.) Your prayers for my dad would be GREATLY appreciated.
So, because my dad is not able to drive us to school, a member of our church is driving us. Now, I don't intend to be rude..but he is not the most "agreeable?" of people. Not that he's mean or anything..just, odd? ANyways, he's a history buff. He had a story for like the most random things- a house in the middle of the block, something happened there, someone lived there. A train used to come along this road. Random stuff like this on the way to school in the morning.
You can just imagine what happened when I brought the poster into his car.
"Is that for history?" (his first reaction.)
"Yup." I said.
"Who's it about?"
"Bernard Montgomery."
"Oooh. The British Field Marshal, correct?"
"Yup."
"Yes, he had a major role in the outcome of WWII. He was one of the leading D-Day generals.." And so he went.
Anyways, he does have some interesting knowledge. Seriously though, you would not BELIEVE how common sense deprived he is, even if I told you. Five-year-olds can have more than he does.
Well that's it for now. Tomorrow I want to make an addition about our Mother's Day breakfast experience, for I'm just too tired now. Oh, look at that. It's 12:02 AM.
Well, BreadAlone signing off.
