To the Church in Laodicea
14"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. 15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

When I read about the Church Ages, I sometimes feel they all apply to the churches for today, and not just the church but on an individual level. I chose the Laodicean church age, because it is the last age before the coming of Christ and these are the questions that I feel that Jesus is asking every single one of us INCLUDING me.
I can actually hear Jesus saying to me,
'Psalms, I rather you would be hot or cold, then to sit on the fence. You either believe in the bible is penned by the finger of God or you don't. You either deny yourself and be hated in the world or you can be of the world and be loved by the world. You can live in pure holiness and separated or you can live perpetural sin with the crowd. You can either believe that I, Jesus, am the Lord of your life, Or you believe you are the one in control of your destiny. You can either believe what is written in my word is truth and live by it or you don't and live freely in rebellion. Psalms, what I hate are those who staddle the fence. I have more respect for those who boldly declare that they do not believe in the Father nor in Me. I have more repsect for those who boldly declare that Word of God is a fable; and nothing more. Then those who give me lipservice saying they love me with their mouth but in their hearts they rebel against me. Having disregard for My Word, intepreting My Word to suit and justify their perpetual sin or creating a stumbling block for others. They are proud and boastful in my eyes, for they gratify themselves then rather deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Watering down the message; never mentioning The Cross and why I died for them; disregarding the need for repentence and changing one's heart. Those that sit on the fence, appear like the world, sound like the world and act like the world BECAUSE THEY ARE OF THE WORLD. The lines of secularism and Church have become blurry. They sit on their throne saying I am rich and need nothing. I have my business, my degree or my cosy position. I live in the best post codes, I have my brand new car, house, and everything that can make me happy. They think that I must be for them to bless them so. Yet they have lost the zeal that they once had when they had nothing. Now they have become satisfied and need no one including not needing ME. They treat me as if I am the flavour of the month. That I am just a cute little baby in the manager, powerless and the silent lamb. Taking advantage of My words when I stated "I came not to judge but to save the lost and heal the sick. Woe to those who believe they are rich but are really poor in spirit. For they have forgotten that I will be coming back as the Lion of Judah. I will roar and judge the nations. For fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. What I see from this church is a lost of zeal for Me and My Father's House and no fear even at the mention of My name. Psalms, I ask you, Where do you stand? Do you serve Me or do you serve the Adversary? For with God, there isn't a middle ground, you are either with me or against me. If you decide to be for Me, Psalms, please remember that you be persecuted for My name's sake. It must life or death. Please, Psalms choose life. I never made promises that living for Me was going to be a rose garden or a tea party. So, I ask again, Psalms, where do you stand? "
I need to ask myself, have I become too much like the world; afraid of persecution to stand up for what is in His Word. Or do I say nothing and keep quiet not realising that my silence is a choice?
