So I had the craziest lucid dream last night. I've had them before, but they were always pretty dream-like.. like I was in the middle of a virtual reality GAME.
This time however, I was dreaming, then saw something out of place and realized I was dreaming. I was completely lucid/awake, but still stuck in my dream. The dream environment was very realistic. It seemed just like reality. I was inside a house, hangin' out with my family.
I was so scared because I didn't know how to wake up. I thought maybe I was in a coma, and would be trapped, awake, in my head. I discussed this with my "dream family". As they tried to help me.
It was the most bizarre thing. To know I was asleep, but to be sitting on a couch, in a living room, talking to my family.. feeling totally awake.
Except I couldn't remember where my body was asleep? Was I at home? Was I at my parent's house? I couldn't remember.
Finally, my "dream sister" suggested I try falling asleep. Maybe if I sleep in my dream, I will awake in reality.
So she gave me a couple of sleeping pills, made up a bed, and turned on some Simon and Garfunkle music.
I got into bed and tried to sleep.
Sure enough.. I closed my eyes in the dream, and listened to the music. Then I opened my eyes and I was back home, in my bed! I was so happy, I woke up the house shouting, "Thank God! I was stuck in my head, but now I'm okay". I think they thought I was crazy
