This is a prayer I recently wrote in my journal and have prayed morning and night ever since. 
Lord, give me a heart willing to serve You and serve others. I ask for a generous spirit, kind and helpful words for others, and calm patience. Take my foolish pride, Lord, and do away with it. Remind me to draw strength from You as I go about my day, and teach me to find contentment in being Your daughter and obeying Your commands wholeheartedly. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
