If ya'll are like me you gotta save the pennies as much as you can. Thankfully, I'm still working but it has slowed down so I'm forced to pinch...I'm finding it rather fun though. To really save can be time consuming but considering the alternatives learning to be frugal is important.
There is another site that I'm finding a lot of good info on...it even refers readers to bloggers who also offer good insight and even coupons to get good deals on your shopping needs. One I really like is Freebies4Moms It changes regularly so it's important to check in at least once a week.
This morning through SheSpeaks I signed up to do a survey on Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate with Peanut Butter Filling Squares. According to the add, I will receive 5 Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate with Peanut Butter Filling Squares (free) and then give my opinion on it in a survey. All I did to get that was apply. Such a deal. Freebies can be fun!
A few weeks ago I received a frozen dinner from a well known company (per the survey they request I not say who). A few days after I received it I was sent a survey and asked questions about it...that was all that I had to do.
From Ocean Spray I received a little mini cookbook of 12 months of Cranberry recipes using cranberrys.
God is good. I have no doubt that HE is the supplier of all that I need. He does not generally just drop it in our laps though. Sometimes He will do that but not always. He is teaching me right now that there are lots of ways to get things in a money saving manner. I know one of the things I've done (at least with one person) is barter. I knitted several ladies kippas per my Rabbi's request, and instead of him paying me, as he did previously, I asked him to do a picture for me for my dining room wall. He's a graphic artist and I want a picture of the Hebrew spies carrying large clusters of grapes as told in the story in Numbers 13:1 - 14:45.
So, God gives us ways to do what needs to be done. I keep asking Him to show me more and He's faithful to meet my needs...via miricle or showing me ways to do things better or differently.
