Deut 21:22-22:7
In these verses God shows a few examples of kindness, not just to our neighbors, but to the animal kingdom as well. God cares for humankind and animals and their feelings and emotions. Even a lost person is still worth the value of a person and God, after telling the Israelites what to do with rebellious individuals, He also instruted to not further humiliate them by leaving their dead bodies on their cross overnight. If they did leave it overnight, then the land was cursed.
If the neighbors ox or other farm animal wandered away from their property it was expected that "you" take the time to return it. And if you did not know who it belonged to then you keep it at your place until someone comes looking for it. This also applied to any "items" found. It was not a "finders keepers losers weepers" mentality. If it were your animal or item that had been lost, you would want it returned if someone found it. Of course if there was any expendeture on the part of the finder in returning the item/animal to it's owner then the owner was responsible to pay the cost of what was spent to take care of it...if any.
If an animal fell beneath it's load and the owner is struggling to help the animal up, help them. Don't look the other way pretending you don't see it.
A woman is not to wear a mans outfit and a man is not to wear something made specifically for women. I personly think this is regarding being deceitful and deliberately giving the impression of being what the clothing portrays you as. Just my opinion though.
Last but not least is the instruction that when you find a birds nest if you want the eggs or the hatchlings, you do not cause the mother to witness the raveging of her young ones. You drive her away and do not take her alone, or her with the babies. The eggs and hatchlings cannot survive without her Generally hatchlings were not seen as fit to be eaten anyway, so the nest would be left alone.
Of course there are many ways we can be kind to one another. We don't need to pray about it, just be kind.
