July 1- July 4

This week has been increadable! We went camping at the church during this period and it was a blast. We had a 4 foot pool set up, a volley ball/bad mitten net up, kareoke, and music.
Tonie decided to go with Rozzlin and I for once and he had the best time in the world. We laughed together. Saturday morning we got up and read the Bible together and dicussed the Holy Spirit and why names were changed in the Bible. We discussed Job and the lessons there, then it was off to play with the children.
Tonie and I played life guard so that Rozzlin, Eileen, Andrea and Reighly could play in the pool, and we took Rufus with us (Rozzlin puppy). Soon it was noon and I was chasing the children with water when Tonie came up from behind and threw me over his shoulder telling the kids that I was going in. They began to chant "dunk her dunk her dunk her" .... as I frantically climbed up Tonie and grabed ahold of his belt loops from behind and wraped my legs around him as tight as I could so that I didn't hit the freezing water, Brady came up and shoved Tonie in from behind and we both went in, the children roared in laughter as we rushed to get out, I was blessed enough to get to be thrown in about 2 more times and then as I was rushing to get out the third time I slipped and fell back in, another roar of laughter from the kids. All we could do is laugh, it was such a great time.
That evening, as we were all sitting around the fire place, Eileen lost her balance and fell directly against the scalding metal and burned the whole side of her arm and the side of her pinky, she even left some of her skin on the stove to finish burning .... I was just praising God it was the hot metal she fell against and not the hot grease not 5 feet away (we were deep fat frying everything in site and testing it :D). Wow God is good, even in the mist of a bad situation .... how much worse it could have been!
Sunday, we all got up and went inside the church, we are having the time of our lives, I didn't have anything planned for my kids because I was having so much fun that I sort of forgot all about my Sunday School class:blush: so I took them all outside for a scavenger hunt, then it started to thunder and lightning so we went back inside the church and played limbo and then sang some of our songs together. The left that after noon with huge smiles on their faces, I had 12 kids that day, when I usually have about 8, so it was a full class!
Fourth of July, and our hog roast pary was a blast and the best day of my life. You see, when I got married at the age of 19, my husband treated me as if I was the last girl on the face of the earth, he went to church with me, camping, out to the lake at midnight to see the stars, vacations, out to coffee, we did EVERYTHING together. About a month after we got married, he stopped all of that and when I asked him he said "when you pretend to be something for so long you eventually get what you want and then you don't have to pretened anymore, I married you so I don't have to date you anymore." I tried on numerouse occasions to teach him about Gods love and mercy and grace but her would have non of it. So when ever the opportunity arrived I would spit out a little peice of the Bible at him, carful to not "thump", he said that he just want that person, I never gave up. Threw years of abuse I hung in there and tried to be the wife the Bible discribed (though not perfect of course). When our daughter came along, it was just her and I .... so I made appoint to read to her the verse in Corinthians : Love is patient, Love is kind, it does not envy or boast, it is not rude or self seeking. I wanted her from a very young age to know what true love really was and how to truely love. I never knew the effect that had on Tonie until this gloriouse 4th of July day in 2011. We have been seperated since valentines day because of unfaithfulness, I remember telling him at our last "stand off" that Life is hard, but with out Christ its a whole lot harder. I have lived a life with out Christ and I would rather go through the hard times with him than alone! he then said I don't know if I can be that person so I tuned to him and said " You can, you just choose not to" and walked out the door. Little did I know how much those words also rang threw his darkened spirit. A week later he gave his heart to Christ and 4th of July he was baptized at our church camp out. It was great!! Three people got baptized that day. It was then that he told me he used to lay in bed and cry as he heard me read that Corinthians verse on love to our little girl. Wow God is great and he works in great way. It is too bad it took all of this for him to come to Christ, but the Bible does say that everything works together for the good of those who love the Lord.
