I am TRYING to allow YOU to let me 'lay down my guns,' Jesus. I have been deeply hurt. I am reflexively closed from that pain. When someone slights me, I am quick to say, "Oh, no you didn't !!!" and turn the fire up in my eyes, like a Klingon death ray, to ward off more unwelcome pain. Just 2 months ago, before the pain that wounded me, I was far MORE PRONE to be quietly patient with that same sort of unsuspecting person with any instance. Love was MORE of a verb, then, IN me. The pain, the danger of MORE pain and that perp are all gone, now. I need to lay down my guns for the sake of those that You need me to minister to in Your loving mercy, for Your glory, for their edification and for my own, Jesus... THANK YOU for being the LOVE unspeakable. The safe zone. The trustworthy WORTHY ONE. THANKS for being YOU !

Thanks for perfecting the 'laying down' of emotional guns and opening Yourself to the offenses of the ignorant, which includes me, for all our sakes.
